In small town Ontario there is a beautiful stone church built in the 1850s. Nestled between two farms it features gorgeous stained-glass windows, whimsical charm and strong ties to the community in which it resides.
We wanted to take a moment to introduce ourselves – we are Megan and Courtney Duquette - sisters who are very excited to start our new adventure with the Little Stone Chapel.
So who are we?
We’re sisters, mothers and friends. Megan has an extensive background in business and a passion for entrepreneurship - from planning to ex*****on she loves every step! Courtney has always had a love of event planning and organizing – from incredible birthday parties for her kids to her own backyard wedding, she has an eye for detail and a knack for staying on budget!
As moms of boys, we’re thrilled to have something of our own to channel our creativity and passions. We have a plan, and big dreams! We can’t wait to watch them become a reality.
In 2010, the Duquette’s moved to St. Agatha looking to plant roots for their continually growing family. Over the years we have all made many strong connections while falling in love with not only the town but our neighbours, and small town living. In 2020, Courtney & her husband Jordan purchased their first home in Wellesley, hoping to build the same foundation of community close to home.
As we watch many of the iconic St. Agatha business shutter their doors after many years, we are thrilled to have the the opportunity to bring a spectacular landmark to new life. Our goal is to bring the church back to life with the transition to a wedding chapel and event space, where we envision families coming together to celebrate with the people closest to them, community groups can gather and friends can grow together.
We hope you’ll come along with us as we finish the renovation journey! Updates are posted to IG @ littlestonechapel and we will share them here as well!
