We were robbed by these two people, we have video of the woman stealing a ring and Voodoo's tip treat jar containing almost $100 (there was more, but can only prove the two items) the male cleverly distracted Sarah while the female stole the items. Please let other store owners in the area know to be on the lookout for these two theives. Yes, we contacted the police and they are aware of them, but didn't seem interested, please help other small mom and pop businesses by letting them know.

While Kind of Magic has changed its wares over the years, we will always have a magic section to remember how we started, while we do not have events at our downsided shop, I must let you know about the magic event of the year in Canada!

Our friends at Browser's are once again having their Magic Bash this year on July 13th, having attended in the past, I can say, it is a great event to see/learn a lot of magic and meet fellow magicians.

This truly is a magical place. I used to bring my children when they were just wee ones and this time I arrived with my grandbabies for our costume hunt. My granddaughter was super clear on what she wanted to be for Halloween but my grandson was feeling frustrated and a little overwhelmed as the time drew near and nothing was in place yet and no idea of what to be. We were welcomed like family and taken under very competent, caring and patient wings as items were found with great ease and competence and suggestions made. My grandson wandered off to investigate the huge selection of offerings hoping to be inspired and as costumes were tried on and finalized for my wee granddaughter who LOVED hers, my grandson came back to find us and he was lit it up like a christmas tree, just beaming with a huge smile. Turns out he was playing with a new friend/magician/employee who could see he was a little lost about what to do/be and decided to lift his spirits with some magic. Within minutes we were all gushing with delight and curiosity at how these tricks were done and then "like magic" my grandson knew he wanted to become a magician for halloween this year..YAY!!!! There was a great deal of celebration and excitement filled the air as he was scooped up by four, that's right ,in this busy space four very happy people set out to help us with utter joy to build a costume while still staying within my budget. It was a time of fun and play and open possibilities and amazing positive vibes. After we had thanked everyone we left the store and actually had to stop outside and pause for a moment, each of us with these bright smiling faces wondering if all that time and generosity and care that had been gifted to us had really just happened, we were all filled up with awe at what had just transpired. With a heart overflowing with gratitude to all you shared with us and the memories that will live in our hearts everytime we think of all of you and the kindness you showed us, we thank you. We will see you next year for sure and anytime in between that we need a little magic.
