PINEO, Reena Lilian
Reena Lillian (Wyer) Pineo passed away peacefully, July 10, 2024 with her close family by her side. Born in Shubenacadie East, January 8,1948. She was the daughter of the late William Robert Wyer and Muriel Louise Wyer (McKenna). She was predeceased by her loving son Cst. Derek WH Pineo and Sister Marion Dillman (Ray). She will be forever missed by her loving husband of 56 years, Earl, Son Gregory Pineo (Sabrina); (Karen Comeau), Daughter Cindy Higgins (John); Daughter Angelia Wilson (Kevin); along with 9 Granddaughters, 1 Grandson and 2 Great Grandsons; Brother Keith Wyer (Lil); Reg Wyer (Lola); Bobby Wyer (Judy); Sister Millie Hurst (Les) as well and many nieces, nephews and friends. A Celebration of Life to be held at St Thomas Anglican Church, Fall River, NS on Wednesday, July 17,2024 at 2:00 PM. The Reverend Carl Fraser officiating. The family is deeply grateful for the care provided by the Palliative care Team at the Dartmouth General Hospital. They truly are angels that walk on earth. Donations made be made in her memory to St Thomas’ Church or to the charity of your choice.

Waverley Legion is looking for a Cleaner with handyman skills to help out part time at our Branch. Our amazing and long serving friend Stevie Kay has retired and the Branch really needs someone to take over the cleaning and maintenance duties asap. A job description will be provided and compensation is hourly. Average hours are around 25 but if we are busy with functions and need set up of tables and chairs, it could be more. Drop a resume into the Bar Manager Paige during opening hours or via email to [email protected] or call 902-860-2144 and leave a message with your name and number and we will touch base for an interview. Please share our post to anyone you know who might be looking for some part time work. It would be very much appreciated by our volunteers who are currently trying bravely to keep up!
