presented their pre-Valentines day show "Hearts & Handcuffs" and really turned up the heat!

It was a fun, naughty evening filled with excitement, laughs, and seduction enjoyed by a sold out crowd!

A night to create music with people you just met or people you know well. Jam night is all about getting to learn how to play with the myriad styles and genres of music. We have had nights filled with Blues songs, Jazz has wrapped its notes through and around the night. Rock and Roll has made the venue bounce and feel alive. Whether you enjoy playing music or just want to listen to the music being created. All are welcome to join in on Jam Night.

Open to ALL musicians. Bring an instrument or use our back line kit and jam out and see where the music takes you.

Join us for a night filled with Jazz, Rock N Roll and Folk Music.

The Big Bad Jug Band
A post-jug quintet from Orillia and Hamilton, Ontario. We write modern protest songs performed in styles of yesteryear. You will hear a touch of The Kinks, Scott Joplin and The Carter Family in our gonzo take on jug music. Mixing rock and roll, doo-wop and bluegrass progressions, it’s like weird Al Yankovic and Jerry Garcia started a jug band together.

Propter Hawk
Fronted by vocal powerhouse Malorie Jo Blake, this 5 piece rock enterprise answers the sonic question of what would happen if Janis Joplin and Paul McCartney had a love child and gave it up for adoption to estranged uncles Otis Redding and Robbie Robertson. Employing vintage gear, a live horn section and recording to tape, the band cemented their signature twist on their adopted genre with hard hitting singles Theatre of the Whole World, Clean Old-Fashioned Hate and Telephone, followed by their exceedingly praised self-titled debut album. International radio play, feature on Sportsnet’s Hockey Night in Canada, a shoutout in the Toronto Star’s What To Listen To This Weekend, and impassioned shows across their native land have ascended their reputation to one of Toronto’s most respected live acts.

Award winning singer/songwriter DAVID FRANCEY is coming to The Bank Art House this September!

David Francey is a Scottish-born Canadian carpenter-turned-songwriter who has become known as “one of Canada’s most revered folk poets and singers” (Toronto Star). Born in Ayrshire, Scotland, to factory-worker parents, David moved to Canada at the age of twelve. For decades, he worked across rail yards, construction sites, and in the Yukon bush, quietly writing poetry and setting it to melodies in his head as he worked.

His debut album, Torn Screen Door (1999), became a Canadian classic, and since then, he has released 12 albums and earned numerous accolades, including four JUNO Awards. Most recently, his 2024 release, The Breath Between, won the JUNO Award for Traditional Roots Album of the Year.

David’s work has also garnered the prestigious SOCAN Folk Music Award and Grand Prizes in both the International Acoustic Music Award and the Folk category of the John Lennon Songwriting Award. His songs, celebrated for their poignant storytelling, have been covered by artists such as The Del McCoury Band, The Rankin Family, and Tracy Grammer.

Known for his wry humour, astute observations, and openhearted singing style, David Francey brings an authenticity to his music that resonates deeply with audiences. A true documentarian of the working person, David’s music continues to inspire and connect people worldwide.

**COMING APRIL 10**

An Evening With HARRY MANX

Harry Manx has spent years fusing eastern musical traditions with the blues, switching effortlessly between conventional guitars, harmonica, and banjo and the decidedly different Mohan veena, a 20-stringed instrument invented by Manx’ Indian mentor Vishwa Mohan Bhatt. Manx is often referred to as the “Mysticssippi” Blues Man, because of his expertise in melding both East and West music together and therefore, “creating musical short stories that wed the Blues with the depth of classical Indian ragas”.

Over the last 10 years, Harry Manx released 11 Albums and has garnered a room full of awards including, “seven Maple Blues Awards, six Juno nominations, the Canadian Folk Award in 2005 for Best Solo Artist and won CBC Radio’s “Great Canadian Blues Award” in 2007″. His most recent accomplishment was receiving yet another Juno Nomination for “Blues Album of the Year”, for his release, “Bread and Buddha” in 2010.

From Blues to Folk to Rock and beyond, our Jam Nights see all sorts of musicians take to the stage to jam with friends new and old, of varying abilities, ages, and backgrounds, to create interesting soundscapes on the fly.
