We are seeking a highly organized, well experienced, and bookkeeper join our group immediately.
Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Preparing payroll calculations, pay cheques and source deduction remittances
• Preparing workers’ compensation reports and remittances
• Preparing annual T4s, T2200s and related payroll items
• Performing full-cycle bookkeeping with minimal supervision
• Posting transactions for bank accounts, credit cards, account receivable, accounts payable, Shareholder and intercompany loans
• Preparing bank and general ledger account reconciliations
• Preparing GST/HST and/or PST/QST returns and remittances
• Preparing trial balances for year-end financial statement preparation
• Performing other client related duties or projects as required
• Accounts Payable cycle is a brisk monthly - must be able to complete on deadline
• Responsible for recruiting and training AP clerk.
The Qualifications:
• At least 2 years of prior experience in a Canada-wide payroll and 3 years bookkeeping role
• Good knowledge of taxable benefits
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and payroll, Microsoft Office, and Excel
• Attention to detail is a must
• Ability to meet deadlines, multi-task, work independently and learn quickly
• Must possess excellent organization skills
• Bring tasks to completion is a must.
• Strong ability to be analytical and resourceful
• High standard of integrity and commitment to exceptional client service
• Automotive industry experience is an asset
• At least 2 years of prior experience in a Canada-wide payroll and bookkeeping role
Education Requirements:
• Completion of an accounting diploma and payroll certification is required
