Sweetheart Farms is a small, family-run agricultural business proudly serving Pictou County, Nova Scotia. Beginning in the Spring of 2017 we will offer gardening maintenance and improvement services in Pictou County, as well as fresh and local cut flowers at the New Glasgow Farmer's Market.

We're booked and ready for our 2nd annual festive wreath workshop at Union Centre Community Hall , December 1st, 2024!

Come alone or bring your kiddos, there will be lots of friendly faces from the community. We'll have some light refreshments, a quick demo and you can get straight to work to make a gorgeous holiday wreath for your home ❤️

Price is $50 per person ( you can bring a child helper for free), this includes instruction and everything you need to make your wreath! Come ready to get a bit messy and have some fun.

James hooked Duke and Mike today and we got the garden disked and amended. Planted peonies, cleaned the barn, spent time with the kids. Somedays farming with your significant other is like pulling teeth... or having teeth pulled. And other days, the stars align and you can see so clearly how much you've got to be grateful for. Today was a good day. ❤

Working with Gardening With Angie to complete a project last week was really awesome. We had gone together for the initial site visit, she worked with the owners to create a beautiful design that would suit them best, and then we installed it to make the vision a reality! Here are a few photos of the process, including the "before", the design and the "after". I can see more collaborative work in our future, we are a great team!

Beautiful fresh-cut blooms arranged for weddings, events and/or a mason jar on your kitchen table; grass-fed Highland and Highland cross beef available in freezer parcels, and often in the delicious fare at Our Turn To Cook, New Glasgow NS; working with our hands, hearts and minds towards a life on the farm that makes it the very best place to call home.
