To Durham Families: A Smarter Way to Build Stronger Kids

We all know what’s happening. Kids are spending more time on screens than ever—passively watching, swiping, scrolling. And it’s taking a toll on their bodies, their minds, and their future.

But not all screen time is equal.

XR (Extended Reality) Fitness turns technology into a tool for real development—physical, cognitive, and emotional. Backed by neuroscience and already in use by pro athletes, it combines movement, sport simulation, and immersive learning into one powerful platform.

The Results Are Clear:

Cognitive Function improves: memory, focus, decision-making

Physical Health develops: strength, coordination, cardiovascular endurance

Mental Wellness stabilizes: stress, attention, and confidence improve

Athletic Skills sharpen: reaction time, spatial awareness, and strategy

Research from global universities and professional sports institutions confirms what we’ve seen firsthand: when you combine physical activity with immersive environments, you accelerate learning, engagement, and transformation.

This summer, we're inviting Durham families to see it for themselves.
In partnership with Ontario Tech University, our Tech for Good program is offering free access to VR-based training and development sessions for youth.

Your child will not just be entertained—they will be challenged, engaged, and strengthened. And as we prepare to deploy this model into gyms across North America, Durham’s youth will lead the way.

We believe this technology is not here to steal their time—but to give it back.
Let’s raise a generation that moves, thinks, and leads with strength.

Technology that builds. Science that matters.

For those who have kids who love gaming and might have tried VR with us over the years, this is your chance to bring them back and let them experience our world a bit different.

Most visits were likely a birthday and they did not get to truly test the full power of Virtual Reality.

We have all the games and tech anyone could ask for inside a private, safe space inside Camda Sports Foundation Canada in Oshawa.

For just $10/HR your kids could get out of the sun and explore worlds you can not even imagine.

Drop them off, run some errands or leave them here all day and go to work.
Chose as many hrs as you need.

We are here to help you manage them while at the same time, sharing the benefits od VR and social gaming.

You don't know this but Virtual Reality is scientifically proven to be psychologically beneficial for neuroplasticity developement, memory, creativity and cognitive function.

Do your own research and text us when you are ready to sign your kids up for our programs.

Text (647) 920-9146 to register.

Space is limited and we only take 15 kids at a time.

This summer we have partnered with Ontario Tech University to showcase Tech For Good and together we are changing lives.

Don't delay.

To Our Beloved Grid Community,

This message is from me — Geoff Eisfeld — the founder, the builder, and the heart behind The Grid and now Metahus.

For years, I believed I could build something better. A space where kids could come alive. Where families could connect. Where learning didn’t feel like work — it felt like wonder.

Every month, every year, every penny we earned — it all went back into the business. Not because I had to, but because I wanted to. Because every time a child laughed in VR, every time a teen lit up with inspiration, every time a parent said “thank you” — it reminded me why I started this in the first place.

I never set out to just run a business. I set out to change what was possible for kids, especially those who don’t always fit the mold.

Yes, we've had setbacks.
Yes, we’ve made promises we couldn’t always keep.
Yes, we lost Grid North — and with it, a piece of our dream.
Then we lost our home, many of our belongings both personal and business.
And yes… we let many people down. And for that, I am truly sorry.

I know many of you were excited, hopeful, and counting on us — and when that location fell through, it left a gap. A silence. A sense of "what now?"

The last few months brought uncertainty. Doubt. Even loss. There were moments where I questioned everything. But if you know me — if we’ve ever spoken at an event, or you’ve watched me guide your child through a VR experience — you know I don't quit. I refuse to.

What fuels me is the interaction — the moment a kid lights up with joy or focus or confidence. That’s what kept me going then, and it’s what drives me now.

So here we are.

After months of regrouping, we are finally shifting forward.
We have officially opened a new location in South Whitby, just one block west of our original home. We’ve launched programs with Ontario Tech University, partnered with CAMDA Sports in Oshawa, and are running immersive tech camps all July, plus evening gaming/VR sessions and weekend events that are unlike anything else in Durham.

Since September, our CAMDA location has quietly been growing — hosting incredible birthdays, launching a full month of programs with Autism Ontario, and proving that our mission still matters.

And through all of this, Metahus was born — a new chapter, but the same mission:
Tech for Good. Connection for Real. Experiences that Matter.

We are here for the neurodivergent learners.
For the kids with ADHD who need something more than trampolines.
For the creators, gamers, thinkers, movers — the ones ready to explore the future, now.

All past Grid credits and pre-sale purchases are still being honored. That’s a promise.
One way or another, I want to ensure that everyone who supported us, gets their money's worth in service, time and product from us.

This summer, we’re not looking back.

We’re letting go of what didn’t work, and pouring our energy into what we have right now:

A fresh, focused direction.

Spaces filled with passion and purpose.

A team committed to creating magic.

And me — still here, still building, and more driven than ever.

It’s time to get back to doing what we do best:
Inspiring kids. Supporting families. And showing the world how powerful these experiences can be.

If you believed in us then — come see what we’ve become.
If you’re just discovering us now — welcome to the movement.

With renewed energy and unwavering heart,
Geoff Eisfeld

On this Remembrance Day, I ask you to take a moment and think about the future and how our children and grand children will remember us.

Fighting for our rights and our access to freedom and injustice is why we honor those that served so much.

They gave their life so we could live.

It's time we started giving more of our lives to others and standing up together to fight for the rights of our children and future generations to come.

Our fight is not on a battle field with guns and bombs but rather in the digital world against social media and algorithms that are stealing our time.
We need to fight against policies that continue to make life harder for others and we need to fight for better education and programs for our children.

We need to stand up against the food industries that sell us products that continue to kill us and the regulatory bodies that continue to let it happen.

On this Remembrance day, let's stand together and fight for a better tomorrow.
