Good Morning,

I'm Geoff Eisfeld, the mind behind The Grid. Since 2017, our 4700-square-foot venue in South Whitby has hosted over 1500 events, engaging with more than 25,000 individuals. What started as a wild idea at home has now become something far beyond our wildest dreams.

While Covid posed challenges, it also gave us a chance to reflect and plan our move to a new 11,500-square-foot space in an old Target location. Although we're in the final stages of setup, we continue to host offsite events and small groups at our Whitby studio.

My family and I have cherished every moment of our entrepreneurial journey. With 20 years in Toronto's event scene, having our own space of this size is truly a dream come true.

We're still awaiting final details from contractors and permits, so we can't confirm the exact opening date yet. However, we're excited to unveil what promises to be an extraordinary community recreation center. Besides our physical location and events, we have begun to meet with schools throughout the GTA, Durham and even some in the USA to showcase the benefits of Virtual Reality and customized Generative Ai systems.

VR is the next break through device that every school needs in order to better prepare our children for the future.

Forget text books and lap tops.
The way to a better tomorrow is through engaging, immersive education without boundaries of the physical world.

With our extensive knowledge of the VR world and our resources from around the world, we have curated hardware and software packages for schools as well as all the training to go along with it.

At The Grid, I have always believed that kids should be treated equally and be given opportunities to engage with gaming and technology where ever possible.

Through all of our years in business, we have hosted dozens of individuals with varying degrees of behavioral tendances.

We grew a lot from 2019-2023 and we enjoyed every minute of it.

Covid was interesting and it gave us more time to develop the business on the backend and work towards where we find ourselves today.

Vr is not a video game console. It is a gateway to worlds beyond our own and filled with strangers of every walk of life from around the world. In VR, there are no rules. No safeguards No police or overseeing regulations. It is amazing technology and we absolutely love it but unsupervised it does have seriously dangerous implications. I don't want to scare you on this day that should be filled with family and fun but I have to worn you about the world you are walking into. New Game Testing/Review Schedule

Our new Adult Gaming hours launched today and the response has been somewhat overwhelming.

Seen by hundreds and being shared by many.

We wanted to clarify something with the positions available. These are not paid hours as an employee. These are reduced rates for specific individuals so they can play games and provide reviews about their experiences. Each 3hr session costs the player $20+tax.

Systems will include: Xbox One / Nintendo Switch / Nintendo Wii U / Raspberry Pi Emulation Station / Oculus Rift / Oculus Go / PlayStation VR / Kat VR systems.
