Forgot to share my snowflake ice block from Christmas, so sharing now in case you’d like to use the idea for NYE!

This is a great way to keep cold snacks cold - if seafood is not your jam, you can use this for other ideas too!

My fave way to decorate is mixing timeless pieces with amazing dollar store finds! I mean who doesn’t love both budget and boujee?!

My decorating advice is find the style that soothes your soul and have fun playing!

The OMG dessert.

Y’all let me introduce to you the easiest most festive dessert EVER! Pumpkin Cheesecake Dip!

1 8os package of cream cheese
1 package of instant vanilla pudding
1 tablespoon of pumpkin pie spice
3/4 cup pumpkin spice creamer
2 cups of whipped topping
1/4 cup sugar

Mix sugar and cream cheese - whip well!

Mix pudding and pumpkin spice creamer together let stand for 5 minutes - then mix with cream cheese mixture. Whip and add pumpkin pie spice

Add whipped topping and mix all together

Refrigerate and then serve with your fave cookies (lotus biscoff is where it’s at!) and fruit!

TO DIE FOR!

A little boho goes a long way 🖤 This is the perfect 1000th post, if I do say so myself 🖤

I don’t know why it took me so long to do something with this room but waiting until a 3rd lockdown to start wasn’t the smartest 😂

A couple things I’m still mulling over:
1. window treatments (I have a few in mind)
2. a geometric wood wall behind the bed (really liking this idea!)
3. wasn’t super crazy about the headboard and furniture anymore but found a way to make it work...for now anyway 😉

I think for the first time I can say we’ve finished all our indoor projects, which is a good thing since there are a ton to do outside 😂

📖Dollarama DIY Farmhouse Book Stack 📖

I did this DIY sometime ago but thought I’d share how to make it!Swipe left to see what Dollarama item I used to make the book stack.

I removed the gold hardware and glued the book shut. I gave it a distressed white paint job using dollar store acrylic paint. Using my Cameo Silhouette, I cut out the letters and voila, adorable farmhouse decor for a coupe of dollars!

🎨 Creative Corner Transformation 🎨

It took a couple of weeks to get everything ready for my sons art nook but boy oh boy is he (and I) happy with the end result! My little guy is as sweet as sugar and loves all things crafty, so this space is perfect for him to let his imagination run wild...and should we ever be virtual learning again, well this area is comfortable and fun so we are ready!

If you remember, I posted that I was going to dupe the IKEA fintorp system and I did just that using a Dollarama curtain rod for $3!

Fun Facts about this space:
* desk is vintage (it’s my dad’s old desk)
* frames & shelves are from JYSK
* poster print is custom made
* hanging sphere lights are from Dollarama
* letters (we painted) are from Dollar Tree
* the diamond shape lights are string lights from Dollarama that I configured to hang art & photos from

The framed art are my sons creations 🖤 The bottom one is so incredibly special as he drew it with my dad (his grandfather) just days before he passed away 🖤 What is truly amazing is my son can tell you everything he did that day with his Nonno simply by looking at a picture 🖤

Sharing a “little” Super Bowl Sunday spread! For all my Windsorites that used to love to cross the border to go to Mexican Town, you’ll want to save this salsa recipe. It’s pretty spot on to the bottomless salsa and chips you’d get at the iconic Michigan restaurant.

Truth be told, I was present for game day for the snacks and to sneak a couple peeks at Mr. Brady 🤣😍

Mexican Town Style Salsa
5-6 Ripe Roma tomatoes
2 green onion
1/3 cup red onion
1 jalapeño pepper seeded
1/3 cup cilantro (fresh is best!)
2 cloves of garlic
2 tbsp of lime juice
1/2 tsp of chili powder
1/2 tsp of cumin
1/2 tsp of sugar
Salt to taste

Add everything to food processor and pulse pulse baby (until desired consistency - but remember Mexican Town style salsa is not chunky!).

I thought renovations were a challenge before BUT Covid renovations are in a league of their own! Finding materials and ordering online, curb side pick-ups, back ordered supplies...Ay Yai Yai 🤯!

This space was once a teeny tiny closet (literally a closet!) with a green toilet and a green sink and it was not accessible unless you went into our laundry room. I’m crying because I thought I saved my “befores” to my cloud and now I can’t find them 😭.

We started this project a few months ago and we had everything major done before Christmas. Since then I began a quest of finding the “perfect” mirror and I found it, BUT it’s only available at Target ( if you’re listening this girl really misses you! Canadian = no Target during pandemic times 😢). The materials we needed for the accent wall (to go behind the vanity) have been out of stock for about 2 months so now I’m mulling over two alternatives because my patience has officially left the building 😂.

All in all, I love how this half bath has come together. My hubby did all of the work (he’s a gem!) and well, I picked out all of the finishes 😂. The mirror that I settled with did make my top 3 so I do like it (a lot) but I’m one of those people that really enjoy the thrill of the hunt - even more so when I’m successful LOL. As some of you may remember, the wood door I legit found on the side of the road and with a little TLC it’s the perfect accent for this space 🖤
