It's been a while since I submitted photos for awards.

Well, I'm glad that I did this summer as this photo from Shae-Lyn and David's wedding just won 4th place in the Canadian Wedding Photographers September Wedding Photography Awards. This is seriously one of my favourite photos in my portfolio - and it almost didn't happen!

We had just finished photographing their first look at an amazing Airbnb in Erieau and were hustling around to get out the door for the ceremony. I saw this sliver of light and only had a minute or two to get the couple in place before running back out the door.

Thank you Joel and the team at CWP for the recognition and to the other photographer who entered and placed this season. The work in this community is absolutely amazing and I am truly inspired!
