Happy Hanukkah!

Tonight is the first night of Hanukkah for our Jewish friends. Also known as the Festival of Lights, Hanukkah celebrates the Maccabees retaking the Holy Temple and despite finding only enough oil to light a lantern for one day, it blazed on for eight. The focus of the holiday tends to be staying home with family and friends and I'm sure many of us will do just that on this Christmas Day! Fun fact: Did you know the last time Hanukkah started on Christmas Day was almost 20 years ago in 2005?

Advent finishes with peace!

For our Christian friends today marks the fourth and final Sunday of Advent. Traditionally the final candle is to represent peace. Peace is something the world has often struggled and still is challenged to find, but it's also something that can be a personal struggle. With the daily hustle and pressures, both external and internal, we can each struggle to find our own peace at times. Over the next few days, it may be especially beneficial to try to find our own peace. Maybe it's time with family or friends or a quiet cup of coffee alone. Whatever it may be, we hope you all find a little bit of peace this holiday season.
