I volunteered to do this for Riverwood Church as part of the Great Mobilization. Prior to being a church the Factory location was a door factory; so the ask was that the display honour those beginnings. My take was to included rusty looking items (my dad helpfully pointed out that neither the wheels nor the chains would be found in a door factory 😐so yes, I'm aware😬) . The Welcome sign is also rusted over. I've included the original Welcome sign because my niece Billie Schulz painted it and did such a great job, but in trying to rust it I ruined her work😔. It was a lot of fun taking what was old and maybe ruined and making something new with a new purpose! I need to give credit to Bill Swistun and Todd Petkau for welding the hearts and the wheels for me and Mike💕who installed them for me.
