Randy Luba
Born May 22, 1963 Date of passing May 12, 2022

It is with heartbreaking sadness that we announce the passing of Randy Luba. He left this earth peacefully in his home in the presence of his beloved cats: Blackie, Goldie and Christopher.

He was predeceased by both his parent and both of his paternal grandparents who raised him since infancy.

Randy is survived by his siblings, Lana Luba and Gregory Luba and their families. He is also survived by siblings and extended family from his mother's family.

He will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by Lawrence and Stephanie. Their families were his cousins and friends. Together they formed loving, lasting family memories.

Randy described himself as: "Independent, a Nonconformist, Freethinking, a Troublemaker and a Snacker".

He was a talented, intelligent, energetic individual with a big heart and a kind soul. He was a skilled computer expert, a fantastic cook and a sensitive artist. He applied his artistry to food preparation. He most loved his job at Diversity Foods in Tony's at the University of Winnipeg. He served kindness, compassion and encouragement along with a great Grilled Cheese Sandwich. He always wore his smile on the outside and kept his pain on the inside.

We are most grateful to Kirsten, his boss from Diversity, who became his most trusted friend and mentor. Thank-you Kirsten for always having his back. Your love and support helped him survive many health issues and the most impossible situations anyone can experience.

From "Read My Name" by Chris de Burgh
For every child that has been born there is a chance to shine
And everyone can have a dream until the end of time
So live for every moment as the world keeps turning round
And lift your hands up to the sky and say it loud and proud
"I've been here, read my name!"

Randy, you will live in our hearts forever Vichnaya Pam'yat

Cremation has taken place, Donations in his memory can be made to Craig Street Cats and the Winnipeg Humane Society
