💬 Some brides & grooms think that getting help from family and friends will save them money as there is no need for them to hire a wedding day coordinator. Before you finalize that detail, here are a few things to consider:

🌷 They have a call time to follow that might be as early as six to eight hours before the ceremony time. (For the 4 pm ceremony, be at the prep location at 10 am)

🌷They should be dressed according to their assignment. (Bride’s assistant: no cocktail dress, no stiletto and no fancy purse.)

🌷 This means they will miss some of the picture-taking and other activities. (Random group pictures, games)

🌷 Generally, they are there not as a guest to experience the moment, but rather as helpers to WORK. Making sure that their duties are taken care of and that they cannot just leave their stations whenever. (Manning the guestbook table, lining up the bridal party, etc.)

📣Break in your wedding shoes for comfort. It will help soften the material and mould the shape of your feet.

Wear them around the house {on a carpeted area if possible to avoid damage to the shoes} a couple of times a week before your big day! Your feet will thank you! 🩰

🎤Speeches are one of the highlights of a wedding or some other special event. However, extended speech can make listeners feel bored and tend to get up to find something to do.

💡 Reminding participants who are doing a speech to make theirs short and sweet will save you from making guests' tables half-empty.
💡Limiting to 2 - 3 minutes maximum per person has proven effective.

Given the Engagement Announcement, consider the most important initial steps:

🍃 Plan a realistic budget. Make sure your vision matches your financial flow.

🍃 Make a tentative guest list. Prioritize the “must” be invited persons.

🍃 Set a date and time. Have a flexibility to prepare of at least three dates just in case your original date is not available for the venues.

I haven’t done something like this in the past. I must say, it does take a lot of planning, communication, and coordination — I mean meticulously, even for a simple & intimate event, especially if it is a surprise arrangement and challenges here and there keep going in the way.
