The Community Centre closes at 4:00 p.m today (New Years eve) and rink lights will be off. The Centre is closed January 1, 2025 New year's day!
The Centre reopens thursday morning January 2, 2025.

Our Winter Programs start in a couple of weeks!

These are a few of the program’s that require a few more registrations to be able to run!

If you were planning to register for any of these amazing programs, please do it as soon as possible. Registrations close 1 week prior to the start dates to ensure we have enough participants to be able to run the sessions!!

This is the time of year when people consider making donations for the 2024 tax year.

Did you know that the Community Centre accepts financial donations and you can get a tax receipt for anything over $25.00!

The community centre has to generate at least 50% of its resources as the City does not provide full funding for community centres. Its easy to donate either use your phone camera to use the QR code or click the link below. Any all donations are appreciated.

Winnipeg providing grant money to help with community centre renovations.

Thirteen community centres around Winnipeg will be getting funding to help with renovations.
The city announced the recipients for the Community Centre Renovation Grant Program Tuesday, noting more than $1.1 million will be divided among these 13 centres.

By supporting renovations and upgrades, we’re ensuring these spaces remain accessible and well-equipped to meet the needs of Winnipeggers, now and for generations to come,” said Mayor Scott Gillingham in a news release.
The community centres receiving the grant this year are:
• Tuxedo;
• Weston;
• Sturgeon Heights;
• Robert A. Steen;
• Red River;
• Oxford Heights;
• Notre Dame;
• Dakota;
• Gateway;
• Greendell Park;
• Maples;

• Northwood; and
• Corydon—Sir John Franklin site.
“Through these renovation grants, we are helping ensure these facilities remain safe, welcoming, and modern spaces where residents of all ages can come together and thrive,” said Coun. Vivian Santos in a news release.
The grant program was launched in 2012, and the city has given $18.5 million to community centres for renovations.

This is good news for Robert A. Steen Community Centre!
This grant will help renovate the canteen, replace all the lobby lighting and side entrances with energy efficient led lighting, replace the bench seating in the lobby, install new laminate flooring in three rooms that have carpet in the basement.

This is good news for Robert A. Steen Community Centre!
This grant will go towards renovating the canteen, new seating in the lobby, new led lighting in the front lobby and side entrances, and new flooring to replace old carpet in several rooms in the basement of the Centre.
