Jon Dore hosts “Unusual Suspects,” our final 2025 Mega Show, and we couldn’t be more thrilled!

Named one of “10 Comics to Watch” by Variety Magazine, Jon is an Ottawa-born comedian, actor, and host known for his offbeat humour and signature bait-and-switch style. A 2023 Juno Award winner for Best Comedy Album, Jon is a festival favorite, having headlined sold-out shows across Canada and the U.S., including Just For Laughs, Bonnaroo, and more.

His TV credits include How I Met Your Mother, Conan, Baroness Von Sketch Show, and his own acclaimed series, The Jon Dore Television Show. You can also catch him as the host of The Stand Up Show with Jon Dore on CTV Comedy.

“Unusual Suspects” is the show that invites you to spend some time on comedy’s Island of Misfit Joys. Unconventional comics. Uncommonly funny.

We’re fired up to present to you the host of our “Old School” Mega Show, Stacey McGunnigle!!

Stacey McGunnigle is an award-winning comedian and writer, an alumnus of The Second City who’s received multiple awards and nominations, including Best Female Improviser and Best Breakout Artist. Since 2021, Stacey has been a main cast member and writer for the hit CBC Comedy show This Hour Has 22 Minutes. She can be seen in the series Detention Adventure, The Next Step, and in the upcoming season of Gen V.

Stacey hosts “Old School”, the show where comics young and old skewer later life. It’s comedy that ages like fine whine 😂

Arthur Simeon hosts our second 2025 Mega Show, “100% Beef” 🙌

Arthur Simeon is a Ugandan-born, Toronto-based stand up comedian and TV host who has performed all over the world! Arthur is a brilliant storyteller who can be heard regularly on CBC Radio’s The Debaters and seen as a regular panelist on CTV’s The Social. He has headlined the Just For Laughs National Tour and taped several television galas at the JUST FOR LAUGHS festival in Montreal.

Kathleen McGee made an impression on anyone who saw her perform. Her acerbic wit and devil-may-care attitude made us all laugh from the deepest parts of ourselves. She lived a life of intensity, and a terminal cancer diagnosis didn’t slow her down. We were incredibly honoured to host her comedy roast at this year’s fest, and anyone in the audience could see that she was adored and respected by her comedy family; even as the barbs flew, the love and laughter grew.

You are missed, Kathleen. Thank you for the laughter. F*&% cancer.

Mark your calendars - International touring comedian, Vōng Shō, performs in his hometown of Winnipeg for the first time in his 20-year career!

‘Vōng Shō: The Chosen One’ is Vong’s “love letter to Winnipeg” exploring his special connection with the city and how it shaped him and his career.

This is a special presentation in collaboration with the Winnipeg Comedy Festival, at the iconic and newly renovated Gas Station Arts Centre. The performance will be taped for later release as a comedy special on streaming platforms.

Vōng’s love of Winnipeg is grounded in his admiration for the people of Winnipeg and their unique voices. As such, the show will open with his favourite local, upcoming talents including Dewey Parker, Jeff Gobeil, and Shy Sapp 👏😁
