Prenatal Yoga held at NGCC Sunday mornings!

We are thrilled to once again be offering TWO weekly Prenatal Yoga classes starting in September!

Sundays at 9:30am in St. Vital at Norberry-Glenlee CC

Prenatal yoga will encourage a more comfortable and relaxed pregnancy - preparing the body and mind for labour, delivery, and postpartum adjustments. These yoga classes will include: flexibility, strength, breath-work and relaxation.

All fitness levels and stages of pregnancy are welcome. No prior yoga experience is needed.

Rinks at both sites are being cleared this morning so people can come out and get their last daytime skates in before heading back to work/school next week.

The ODR's and buildings will remain CLOSED today to ensure that we can save the rinks for use going forward. Looks like it will get colder overnight tonight, so we will hopefully have the rinks up and running again tomorrow!
We ask that you PLEASE stay off the rinks today! Although it looks like they are frozen, they are not frozen all the way through.

As of 2 pm December 27th, rinks at both sites are closed. They are covered with water and are unsafe. Will update again tomorrow once we survey the damage.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everyone! NGCC office will be closed at noon on Christmas Eve (buildings will be open until 5 pm for skaters). We will re-open on Friday, December 27th.

Our Traditional Karate program that takes place on Mondays and Thursdays is having an Open House on Monday, January 6th for anyone interested in checking out their program.

After a whole bunch of snow clearing and 2 broken snowblowers, the ODR's at both sites will be open tonight for practices and skating! FINALLY!!

Rinks and the hockey change area at the Norberry site on Molgat Avenue are accessible every weekday from 10 am until 9 pm, and weekends until 9 pm or later if we have events/staff booked .

Rinks at the Glenlee site on Worthington are generally cleaned every morning, so you are able to change into skates in one of the players boxes during the day. The building and change area is open from 5 pm to 9:45 pm each weeknight and 10 am to 4:45 pm on the weekends.

Rink lights at both sites stay on until 10:45-11 pm , so you may be asked to take your shoes outside if you want to stay longer. Over the Christmas school break, the hours will be adjusted.

NGCC ODR's - we are hoping to be open early next week for practices and skating (depending on the amount of snow we get and the temperatures), but in the meantime we ask that you refrain from going on the rinks. They are not safe yet!

Tomorrow is the big day! Our Breakfast with Santa takes place from 11am to 1 pm. FREE Pancake Breakfast courtesy of Re/Max Performance Realty on St. Mary's RD. Bouncers and a visit with Santa in the gym , and some coloring tables set up in the MPR. Hope to see everyone there!

NGCC Outdoor Rinks

Work on our ODR’s is ongoing and we hope to have them ready as soon as possible. We will not open them until they are safe to skate on, so keep watching for an update here.
