N E W Summer Saturday Shop Hours

This is the absolute best time for flowers and sadly always the slowest in retail. However you plan on enjoying the weekend it should probably include flowers! Pop by on your way out to the lake and build a bouquet. Need a little something last minute to bring to a bbq? We have pre-made bunches wrapped and ready to go. The only way we can support our local growers is if you continue to support us.

Someone asked me if I get excited when flowers come into the shop.

If you didn't know this, I don't choose what arrives weekly. Our bouquets of the day aren't pre planned or thought out with floral recipes in mind. We enjoy the surprise as well. There are days when I squeel like a child on Christmas morning, unboxing the flowers for the week. Im sure thinks I am little nuts the way I talk to the flowers.

Some days, the excitement is so much that I have to run over to .clothing next door to show off that one flower in the bunch that has the most unusual crook in its stem. And I think about how it came to be and how far this little flower has traveled just so I can be in awe of it, show it off for a moment before it gets tucked into one of your bouquets.

It is easy to lose yourself. To lose sight of why we do what we do as small business owners, especially when our focus is on trying to make rent on time, pay for broken equipment, and employees' wages never mind our own.

The answer simply is yes! I still get excited when flowers arrive in the shop. So thank you to the person who gave me a gentle reminder to appreciate those moments when they happen.

This year looked a little different than years past. It was only myself and in the shop, and we managed to crush the day!
I'm not sure either of us stopped to eat or p*e (harsh truths of all florists on Valentine's Day) but our hearts are full thanks to you.

Time to pour a glass of wine and rest our tired feet. We'll see you in the shop tomorrow 11-4.
