Gaspereau Flower Lady I am a cut flower grower at Riverborn Farm Market (Dabro Farms)in the Gaspereau Valley. I sell wraps, bouquets and arrangements seasonally.

This includes: fall pumpkin bouquets, dried flowers; Christmas, Easter, Events, Deliveries and gift cards.

Hello everyone! The first seeds of 2025 have been started! The “brownies are in the oven”! My helpers started the first 800 lisianthus seeds in the workshop. This is my first year not doing this in my kitchen/dining room 🥳

Last year I started planting 2 weeks earlier but I found that the success rate was much lower than seeds planted a month later in March. So I decided to wait a little longer this year and hopefully have a better survival rate.

When selecting lisianthus seeds I get a variety of different types which help stagger bloom time. Even with extra planning that didn’t happen last year. All varieties started blooming the same time and faster with the high temperatures. My goal this year is to plant more successions of lisianthis in order to stretch out the season. Try something different and hopefully get better results 🤞💐

Hello! The last day to order Christmas arrangements, centrepieces or swags is tomorrow, Dec. 19th.
My last day for order pick-up or adding to the market inventory is Sunday, Dec. 22nd. Available until sold out.

* I have stopped making wreaths.
* These arrangements do not have fresh flowers. The fresh greenery is in a floral block and can last for months. Just water once in a while and keep away from home heat sources in a cooler place in your home.

Hello again! I just brought everything from the workshop to the Market at 6:30pm (Saturday evening). I didn’t know it was almost empty, sorry. I can only keep so much inventory at the market. When I have more inventory at my workshop, I will make a post.

Last day to order is Thursday, Dec 19th. My last day is Sunday, December 22nd.

CENTREPIECES NEED TO BE ORDERED. All market arrangements are decorated to the front. 🕯️🎄❄️

I stopped making wreaths and swags since I didn’t have any more orders for those. I can make more if you send me a message 🎄

*If you don’t like a bow on something, pop up to the workshop and I can change it, no charge.

Remember to send me a message if you would like me to make you something. Demand has not been high at the market so I am focusing on indoor arrangements unless you order. If you want indoor arrangements or centrepieces a quick message to order would be appreciated.

I am getting set up for weekend creations! I found 6 gorgeous teacups last night! So much fun taking the time to go through all the boxes that were given to me by a wonderful family 🥰 I also found these awesome outdoor planters that were in my recycling bin a while back 🥰

If you do not like the bow colour on a swag/wreath, you can pop up to the workshop and change it 😁

Ordering in advance is very important for creating Christmas decorations. Budgeting my time is easier if I know what you’d are looking for. I may even have more items at the workshop I haven’t brought to the market. A quick message helps me tremendously! 🥰

*Please note the etransfer address change. All information is on the main table beside the cash box. Make sure you fill out the etransfer slip that needs to be added to the cash box. Print clearly and ensure the information is correct. Double check your account when you go home to ensure the money was sent. Thank you! 😊

🎄I have started making indoor arrangements which are decorated to the front. All shapes and sizes! They are not at the Market yet. I will bring them down on the weekend.

🎄Large centrepieces with candles or lights for Christmas tables can be ordered in advance for pick up betweeen December 18th - 22nd.

The Market is set up! Everything is individually priced. I have $10 -$35 items up for grabs! I was so excited talking to customers and setting-up I forgot to take more pictures.
I have 3 wreaths, 6 small swags, 3 large bell swags, two acorn garlands and 10 wooden snowmen so far. Items are inside and outside. You have to look around the market to find things. So many amazing local vendors to check out at the market!

* PLEASE REMEBER TO FILL OUT ETRANSFER SLIPS AND PUT THEM IN THE CASH CAN. Double check your bank account when you get home to ensure the etransfer went through.
* Cash goes in the cash can! Correct amount is helpful!
* If you are not aware the Market has been the constant target of large amounts of theft. People just taking items and not paying, pretending to pay and/or etransfers not being sent. If you see something suspicious while at the market please reach out.
* The Market is equipped with surveillance cameras.

With so much rain, short days and working, it has definitely been a challenge to find time to get Christmas decorations started. Today Dahlia tubers are processed and in storage and Christmas branches/berries have been cut!

Shawn and I went on our annual tractor ride to gather supplies. We had a blast! I don’t know how he puts up with me 🙃 Then my husband and I went up to Davidson's Christmas Tree Lot to cut a couple trees. Thank you Virginia 🥰 Love this Christmas tree upick so close to home.

My two helpers today worked on wiring bulbs and pine cones. I was so happy to see them snuggled on the couch watching “Home alone”. Best way to get the Christmas season started!

My sister visited over the weekend and brought me berries, cedar, branches and birch. Thank you for being so thoughtful 🥰

I will put up ordering information soon! I will start making wreaths, bell swags, outdoor arrangements and then focus on inside centrepieces moving closer to Christmas. I will keep working until December 22nd.

Thank you for your patience and continued support. It has definitely been an extreme rollcoaster kinda of year.

PLEASE READ AND SHARE. Stealing from this small local farm market is absolutely disgusting!!!! There is no way to justify stealing from local farmers.

SCAMMERS are getting so good. 😡😡😡😡😡We just got a call from what looked like our bank. Our bank name came up on the display. Our credit card was hacked a few months ago so at first my husband was listening. The call seemed very real.

🚩Red flag 1: They stopped a
Fraudulent etransfer from our account for $10,000. Interesting. I have never been able to send an etransfer for more than $2000 at a time. We sent an etransfer about an hour earlier so we paid attention to what was being said.

🚩Red flag 2: They were going to mail our new client card in 3-5 days. Really???? Canada post is on strike.

🚩Red flag 3: Didn’t know where our local bank branch was located to send the cards to our bank.

🚩Red flag 4: A technician will call you back to reset our daily etransfer limit to zero until we get our new client card ???? That makes no sense?

🚩Red flag 5: Gave us answers to questions we asked and they said it was good to be asking so many questions to stay on top of scammers! (Heard this line on a cyber security video on how they give you praise for being skeptical)

🚩 Red flag 6: a technician called us back from a different number which also had our banks name on the display. Immediately!!! That never happens 😂

🚩Red flag six: Please login to our Bank Ap! Ha! Really?!?!? 💯 percent Scammer!!!!!

**** As soon as we said we would not login in, we would use a different device they hung up immediately!!!!

Pointers: If you answer a call from your bank with the name clearly on display and the first thing they say is we stopped a fraudulent etransfer transaction on your account. HANG UP IMMEDIATELY AND CALL YOUR BANK!!!

DO NOT GIVE OUT ANY INFORMATION to someone calling you. If your bank is calling you they should have all your information!

My husband was talking with them on his cell phone while I was checked our bank account. Nothing wrong with our accounts.

***** The scammers were very convincing. After working all day and being so late in the evening, our guard was down. Seeing your Bank name on the display and hearing our account was hacked made you sit up and listen. This is crazy!!!! 😡
