💍 A Proposal Story

I’m often approached by young men asking me to capture the exact moment they propose to their girlfriends.
Every single time, it’s incredibly moving and emotional… even for me 🥺

And here’s something interesting — when I later ask the girls, “Did you have any idea?” — I’ll let you in on a little secret 😉 — many admit they had a feeling.
They say that the day before, their boyfriend suddenly became quiet, thoughtful, a little nervous… as if his mind was somewhere far away.

But there have also been moments when the proposal was a complete surprise! And in those cases, there were tears of joy flowing like the water in this river 😄

So guys, no matter what — keep making your girlfriends smile, surprise them, do something extraordinary!
They will treasure it… even if the surprise doesn’t go perfectly.
Because for them, what matters most is knowing you’ve chosen to walk this journey together 💍✨

Il fut un temps où je photographiais les nouveau-nés dans mon propre home studio. J’avais une multitude d’accessoires pour les tout-petits, dont certains que je fabriquais moi-même à la main. C’était une forme de méditation pour moi. Mais la séance en elle-même était un vrai défi. Ces photos sont magnifiques lorsque le bébé dort paisiblement… et c’était bien là toute la difficulté ! Pour qu’un nouveau-né dorme profondément, plusieurs facteurs doivent être réunis. Et après chaque séance, j’étais épuisée comme jamais, bien plus qu’après 12 heures de reportage de mariage.

Pendant un certain temps, j’ai même arrêté de photographier les nouveau-nés.

Mais aujourd’hui, je les aime encore plus. Ce que je préfère, c’est capturer ces précieux instants à la maison, dans les bras de maman et papa, dans une atmosphère chaleureuse et familière. Les images sont naturelles, pleines d’émotions et de tendresse.

There was a time when I used to photograph newborns in my home studio. I had a variety of baby accessories, some of which I made myself by hand. It was a form of meditation for me. But the actual photo session was a real challenge. These photos are truly beautiful when the baby is peacefully asleep… and that was the tricky part! To ensure a deep sleep, several factors had to be perfectly aligned. And after each session, I felt more exhausted than after 12 hours of shooting a wedding!

For a while, I stopped doing newborn sessions altogether.

But now, I love them even more. I enjoy capturing those precious moments at home, in the arms of mom and dad, in a warm and familiar atmosphere. The photos turn out natural, emotional, and full of tenderness.

🇬🇧 On my last trip to Venice, my camera worked non-stop without any breaks. As soon as we moved away from the noisy city center filled with tourists, we arrived at a photographer’s paradise – still Venice, but far from the hustle and bustle. There, I met beautiful people in stunning costumes. Here’s a 5-minute express photo shoot for one of them ;)

🇫🇷 Lors de mon dernier voyage à Venise, mon appareil photo a travaillé sans relâche, sans aucune pause. Dès que nous avons quitté le centre-ville bruyant, envahi par les touristes, nous avons découvert un véritable paradis pour les photographes – c’est toujours Venise, mais loin de l’agitation. Là, j’ai rencontré de belles personnes vêtues de costumes époustouflants. Voici une séance photo express de 5 minutes pour l’une d’entre elles ;)

A spontaneous fifteen-minute photo shoot while on vacation. There were only a few hours left before departure, and I felt sad that the camera had stayed in the room the whole trip.

But then I saw these two bright beauties—sisters—on the beach. I stared at them for a while, hypnotized, and finally worked up the courage to approach them! 😉
