Das Theater Ida schafft einen kreativen Raum für Improtheater Wenn ihr dem Verein Theater Ida beitretet, könnt ihr den Raum vergünstigt nutzen.

Das Theater Ida ist ein nicht-gewinnorientierter Verein, der im Basislager einen kreativen Raum für Improtheater bietet und Improgruppen dazu einlädt, Neues auszuprobieren. Aber auch sonst kann das Theater Ida gemietet werden: Auf 80 m2 bietet es den perfekten Raum für Proben und Aufführungen im kleinen Rahmen. Der Raum verfügt über 60 Sitzplätze, Theaterbeleuchtung mit LED-Scheinwerfern (warmweiss und farbig), ein Klavier und eine Bar.

It’s already history! This year’s Ida Improv Artists in Residence has come to an end. 🙃

We are filled with joy and gratitude! 💛 Ten wonderful, experimental, and deeply inspiring days are behind us. Our two Artists created, discovered, and most of all – improvised in countless ways.

A heartfelt thank you to and for bringing your art to Zurich. It was an absolute pleasure and honor to have you with us at Theater Ida.

Yesterday we had the scenographic improv walk — a playful, sensory, and fully improvised exploration around Basislager. 🌿🌱🍂

Today we’re heading outside once more: the first show takes place outdoors, and in the second half our Artists will share what they’ve been working on this past week.

Today we enjoyed a wonderful work-in-progress show ✨

Tomorrow, Thursday, it’s time for an improvised scenographic walk! The artists will transform the city into a stage where little stories, unexpected images, and spontaneous encounters come to life.

From 18:00 we’ll gather at the theater, and at 18:30 we set off.
Come along, bring your curiosity, your umbrella, and a raincoat – and let yourself be surprised by the magic of the moment. Just come over! 💫

This Friday, it’s happening! Our annual Ida Improv Artists in Residence starts. ✨✨✨

We’re excited to welcome Rosalind Grégoire (London) and Christianna Tsigkou (Amsterdam) as the duo “We Are Empty Space.”

During the residency, they will explore how different ways of using the stage, lighting, and audience position can change an improvised story. They experiment with movement, space, and staging to make traditional improvisation more exciting and immersive.

They bring a fresh and diverse style of improvisational theater to Zurich. Don’t miss it!

You don’t need perfect English to enjoy the show. The experience speaks for itself!

Was daraus alles entsteht, erfährst du nur, wenn du dabei bist.

Ida Improv Artists in Residence – es gibt noch wenige Plätze!

Kennst du das Gefühl, immer wieder dieselben Rollen zu spielen? Oder dass Szenen sich nach einer Weile ähneln? Dann ist das deine Chance, deinen Improhorizont zu erweitern! 🎭

Impro trifft auf bildende Kunst und Szenografie – entdecke neue Wege, Figuren zu entwickeln und Szenen fast wie im Film zum Leben zu bringen.

Wir laden dich zu zwei Workshops mit Rosalind Grégoire und Christianna Tsigkou ein – beide haben 2025 beim Impro Amsterdam Festival gespielt, und Christianna vertrat Griechenland bei den Improtheater-Europameisterschaften. Du kannst von ihrer Erfahrung auf Bühnen in ganz Europa profitieren.

Die Workshops finden auf Englisch statt – perfektes Englisch ist keine Voraussetzung. Für alle, die es brauchen, gibt es eine vergünstigte Tarifoption.

Am Ende zeigen die Teilnehmer*innen ihre neu entwickelten Figuren und Szenen – in entspannter, lockerer Atmosphäre.

Das erste Improvolution war ein voller Erfolg!

Fünf Improvisateur:innen tauchten in einen Abend voller Kreativität ein. Es entstanden die unterschiedlichsten Figuren – eckige, schlüpfrige, hungrige und viele mehr. Gemeinsam wurde geforscht, gespielt und miteinander in Kontakt getreten, und alle hatten riesigen Spaß dabei.

Am Donnerstag, 28. August geht es weiter! 🔥
