Based in Paris, Canadian bassist was involved with jazz and contemporary music projects around the globe.

A composer, leader, arranger, and teacher, he has been playing a wide variety of musical genres and styles on both upright and electric basses for more than 20 years.

Chris has established himself as a double bassist with , , Mark Guiliana, Kudsi Erguner, or renowned Kurdish singer , to just name a few.

is a Berlin-based multidisciplinary artist born in Antalya, Turkey. He is currently working as a freelance instructor, cello performer, improviser, sound artist, and composer.

Uygur majored in Music at the Antalya Anatolian Fine Arts High School and then studied Cello and Composition at . In 2010, he received his Master of Fine Arts degree in Visual Communication Design and taught Sounds & Design at the Department of Film and Television from 2007 to 2011 at the same University.

His research is mostly focused on City Soundscape, Acoustic Ecology, Sound-Architectural relations, experimental techniques in performance, and improvisation.

was born in Florence, Italy, and studied musicology and the recorder both in Italy and Germany. Valentina took a great interest in classical Turkish and Arabic music, studying their respective aesthethics and theories. She learned to play the Ney with Ross Daly, Ömer Erdogdular, and Kudsi Ergüner.

She plays both the Turkish and the Arabic Ney, performs on numerous stages (among others the National Theater Thuriniga, the Philharmonie Berlin, the Deutsche Oper Berlin, or Elbphilharmonie Hamburg) both solo and together with ensembles, such as the Husam Al Ali Ensemble, Almar'a: the Arab and Mediterranean Women Orchestra, Concerto Foscari (international Ensemble for early music), Ensemble Pera, Farmagia, Syriab Ensemble, Dj Sara Dziri, or Babylon Orchestra.

She´s the first European woman performing the „Istanbul Sinfonie“ by , for example in Staatstheater Braunschweig, in Scharoun Theater Wolfsburg, with the Bergischen Symphonikern in Solingen/Remscheid and the Niederrheinischen Symphonikern in Mönchengladbach.

Recentely she's been developing her personal music performance, called "Wind & Drums“. In this program, the diverse possibilities of the flutes, the neys and other wind instruments (such as duduk, hulusi, whistles, bagpipes and many others) are unfolded in connection with loops, effect pedals and percussion.

Her debut Solo album "Eremos", released in December 2021, embodies her various musical and cultural backgrounds and experiences, including early western and modal music, experimentation and tradition, medieval music, radical improvisation, maqamat and deep investigation of their respective languages.

Our community asked us when we’ll return to the bağlama at the Psychedelic Music Explosion, so we have asked our friend, virtuoso, and modern-day Aşık (yes, the one that brought us the club banger Stil with ) to join us . He will take us on a journey with his shamanic acid techno improvisations filled with Anatolian mysticism, religious poetry, and ecstatic spacey electric saz progressions.

Later, .bey from Izmir will take over for the afterparty, promising a unique musical feast for our ears! His productions have been released by , , or . Playing at numerous festivals in Turkey and abroad, he has been also invited to play his eclectic sets .

«Çok Yorgunum» was first recorded by Anatolian rock legend Cem Karaca in 1984 in Germany, where Cem was in exile. The song appeared on the album «Die Kanaken», produced by Henry Böseke and Martin Burkert in 1984 as part of the «Ab in den Orient-Express» theater play.

The lyrics are based on Nâzım Hikmet’s poem «Mavi Liman» from 1957 and tell the poet’s own story of exile in Moscow, where he started to realize that he may never return to his home country. When Cem was in exile in Germany in the 80's, he realized that he too would not be returning home and recorded the song. In an interview, he would express his feelings and the reason for recording the song: «When I went abroad and was prevented from returning home, I began to experience Nâzım's sorrow in my flesh, blood, heart, brain, and everywhere.»

In 2022, produced a downtempo version of the powerful song. Where Cem's song relies on his strong and captivating voice, accompanied by a deliberately quiet choice of violin and guitar phrases, the downtempo version is able to keep the original's melancholy while adding a decent beat with stronger electric guitar and flute elements, paying tribute to Cem Karaca, Nâzım Hikmet, and everybody that was forced to leave their home.

*Ko Shin Moon*

Ko Shin Moon was born in 2017, at the crossroads between traditional Eastern strings and electronic music machines. After spending four years in India collecting folk instruments, Axel Moon discovered that his old friend Niko Shin had started a recording studio filled with analog synths and vintage gear.

From this private haven, Ko Shin Moon creates otherworldly, hybrid melodies where psychedelia meets space disco, and electric bağlama and oud riffs embrace the harmonics of the sitar.

Last year, they released İsyan together with Turkish singer an obvious and great collaboration given Melike's career with Anatolian psychedelic rock legends

*Dj Yüksel*

Born in İstanbul and based in Basel, Dj Yüksel has been regularly spinning his favorite Anatolian funk and rock records from the 60ies and 70ies at RadioX Basel or BS Renée Bar for the past few years. Working in İstanbul’s gastromy and nightlife industry, he arrived in Basel 15 years ago and later fell in love with DJing. Inspired by his Anatolian roots, Yüksel believes that the challenge and fun in Djing come from an impeccable record selection for the right audience and setting.
