A Night of Timeless Beauty at the Royal Opera House Muscat

I had the immense honor of being invited by Maestro Umberto Fanni to attend "Memories of Alhambra" at the House of Musical Arts in Muscat — and what a night it was.

Set within one of the world’s most visionary cultural spaces, the performance was more than a concert; it was a journey through history, merging together the poetic traditions of Andalusian and Arab heritage through music, movement, and storytelling.

The atmosphere was electric, the emotion palpable. The evening culminated in a standing ovation — a shared moment of awe and unity that reminded us of the deep human need for beauty, memory, and connection.

What struck me most was how closely this experience echoed the mission of Bridging Nations Foundation — to create spaces where cultures meet, where diversity is celebrated, and where art becomes a bridge between, countries, people, stories, and generations.

Thank you for this beautiful experience.

Raising a World Citizen – Why We Choose a Screen-Free Childhood

At Bridging Nations Foundation, we believe in the power of human connection, artistic expression, and inclusive dialogue to build a more compassionate and united world. Our mission begins not just with public programs, but in the most intimate space: our own family.

As founders, we have chosen to raise our son without screen exposure. This is not just a parenting choice — it is a philosophical one. In a world where digital devices often replace real relationships, we wanted to give our child something different: the ability to be fully present, to feel deeply, and to grow with a clear sense of self and others.

Without screens, his world is filled with touch, nature, art, voice, and rhythm. He interacts with people, listens attentively, and explores his environment with wonder. These experiences nourish empathy, imagination, and cultural curiosity — all essential qualities for someone who may one day contribute to building bridges across communities and nations.

At Bridging Nations, our vision is rooted in inclusivity, intercultural exchange, and sustainability. A screen-free upbringing naturally supports this vision — fostering slow learning, emotional intelligence, and creative resilience from the earliest age.

We’re not raising a child to scroll — we’re raising a child to see.
To feel. To connect and to build his own bridges.

Because bridging nations starts in the heart of a child who knows how to be fully human.

It was an honor to meet with Her Excellency Laila bint Ahmed bin Awad al Najjar, Minister of Social Development of the Sultanate of Oman, and to engage in an in-depth discussion on the potential for meaningful collaboration between the Swiss Bridging Nations Foundation and Oman—united by a shared commitment to cultural exchange and social inclusion.

The meeting was all the more impactful as I was privileged to be joined by His Excellency Dr. Thomas Oertle, Ambassador of Switzerland to Oman and Yemen, whose gracious assistance in coordinating this dialogue was deeply appreciated, and by His Excellency Nabil Hajlaoui, Ambassador of France to Oman, whose continued support and encouragement have been instrumental in advancing our initiatives in the region.

Together—with Switzerland, France, and other nations that will join—we look forward to building bridges that connect cultures, empower marginalized communities, and inspire lasting, positive change.

🇦🇪🇨🇭 BRIDGING NATIONS UAE

It was a privilege to meet H.E. Arthur Mattli, Swiss Ambassador to the UAE, and to discuss strengthening cultural ties between Switzerland and the UAE. In collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, we laid out the framework for a special UAE edition of Bridging Nations, where Switzerland—alongside France—will take an active role in celebrating intercultural dialogue, sustainability, and the outstanding contributions of people of determination, alongside renowned artists.

Inclusivity lies at the heart of Bridging Nations. We aim to give a platform to individuals from all walks of life, especially those who are often overlooked—people with disabilities, underrepresented communities, and marginalized voices. By ensuring participation and recognition for diverse talents, we make sure that the art world becomes an open space for everyone. Through various educational and creative programs, we advocate for equal opportunities and representation across social, cultural, and geographical boundaries. Inclusivity is not just a principle but a practice that seeks to remove barriers and create a truly democratic art ecosystem.

Incredible artists and young talents with disabilities in Qatar

Celebrating Art and Inclusion:
