On the occasion of the Global Meetings Industry Day today, we are pleased to share the 2022 statistics of our Annual Member Survey, based on annual return data provided by IAPCO members.
Our Annual Member Survey compiles data from the IAPCO membership to gain valuable insight into our community over the previous year and get an outlook for the coming years. This data enables IAPCO to understand its members’ impact on our industry through their performance and focus on future activities.
The Survey results are just a snapshot of the performance we have experienced through 2022. When assessed, together with all other indicators, the impact that IAPCO members continue to bring to both our industry and cities within which their events are delivered is highly positive and attractive and proof of the value of global business events.

What a week! Emotions ran high during the first IAPCO Hybrid AM&GA in Rome, as members were getting together in person for the first time in 2 years. The event gathered 126 IAPCO members and partners in Rome (Italy), as well as 46 attendees online from 34 countries.
Keynotes and panel discussions reflected on the fact that ‘There is no future without History’ – a topic that strongly resonates with many business events industry organisations around the globe all of which had to drastically adapt their activities in the past 2 years.
We received exceptional insights and inspiration from the keynotes who engaged the community present in enlightening discussions that will help us reflect and craft innovative solutions for the future of the meetings industry.
We spoke a lot about ‘Human connections’ as a concept during the 3 days of meeting. We also experienced it vibrantely: we felt the strength, the passion and the energy of our wonderful community: THANK YOU!
