Winter is coming ... even in Cyprus 😉.
And in the evening, especially when it's windy, we may need some comfort food.
The Potée Auvergnate (Auvergne is one of the regions of France) is the perfect combination between the healthiness of vegetables and the taste of pork meat and Montbeliard sausage.
And with a nice bottle of French red wine like or a and in company of good friends, you will definitely experience a good winter evening.

One rule is essential : always buy good quality food (organic if possible) 🍅🥬🥒.
Miracle doesn't exist even in a kitchen 😁.
In Cyprus, we really have nice markets with very fresh vegetables and fruits.
When you are doing shopping, keep your mind open to last minute ideas based on your discover of the day.
In France, market place is the center of a village. You meet your friends, have a drink (or more 😅), discuss about political opinions.

Do you know the top 3 or 10 of French Food?
Steak and fries? No! Even if we do like a good meat 🥩 (by the way, French fries are actually Belgian 😅).
Like its geography, France has plenty of traditional dishes like :
1. Soupe à l’oignon (onion soup)
2. Coq au vin
3. Cassoulet
4. Bœuf bourguignon
5. Confit de canard
6. Salade Niçoise

Why? Because that's the best 😁
Of course, you have really nice wines in other countries but as French, when we talk about wine we take it seriously. We always select one that goes well along with every dish ("accord met et vin").

When we say "French Food", what's your first idea?
If you ask a French expat what he misses more when abroad, you will get for sure as an answer :
- French baguette 🥖
- French cheese 🧀
- French wine 🍷
Why? Because it's our "heritage". It's a little bit cliché but it's true 😁.
