If you’re having your wedding in Cyprus you’ve probably worried about how you’re going to get your wedding dress to your destination without disaster befalling it. From creasing to getting lost, there are many bad things that could happen, but with these tips you will have a lot less to worry about. Get your dress professionally packed or look at YouTube videos. Depending on where you purchased it, your dress store may be willing to pack it for travel for you, and will be able to do so in a way that helps reduce the chances of creasing and damage. Whether you bring a specialized box or a suitcase, the experts are your best bet for making sure your dress reaches its destination intact. Include your dress in your carry-on luggage. If you’re able to fit your dress into a box or suitcase that’s within carry-on limits, you can bring it on board the plane with you and keep it in sight. This way, it’s always with you and you don’t risk it getting lost in the hold.Dress hanging tags: Dress hanging tags are there for a reason! DO NOT cut them out, they are designed to take the weight of your dress and stop it from stretching or getting damaged when it’s on the hanger.
Pack your dress on its own to avoid staining from leaking toiletries etc It doesn’t take much to stain a wedding dress. Great care ought to be taken to make certain that it doesn’t come into contact with something that might cause an unsightly mark, especially since the chances of being able to get the stain removed in time for the wedding upon your arrival are usually slim to none. Book dress steaming servicesIt’s a good idea to take the dress out of its packaging once you arrive in Cyprus, hang it up, and fluff it out a bit. Also as most hotel wardrobes are not long enough to deal with the length of a wedding dress or bridesmaid dress ask a bridesmaid or family member to hang your dress in their room until your wedding day. Alternatively we can arrange to return your dress at breakfast time on the morning of your wedding. Hangers for you and your guests. Most hotels only have a small number of hangers in their wardrobes, normally they are the type that remain in the wardrobes. It is a good idea to invest in specific hangers with the bridal party names or role on. Also these look great in photos. Protecting your dress It’s essential to have a suitable sized dress bag or for very large dresses, a clean white double duvet cover with you, this will keep your dress clean and away from prying eyes on its return to you after steaming. Remember plastic will make the fabric sweat and can stain the dress. A duvet cover is also great to place on the floor when you put your dress on by stepping into it after hair and make up. After your wedding We can clean and repack your dress but booking is strongly advised as we cannot guarantee availability once you are in resort. It is essential upon return home that you unpack your dress as soon as possible and hang up. Do not hang in immediate sunlight and preferably in a dress bag or under a cover. So many brides getting there photos and those reviews keep coming: Georgia got married at Nissi Beach one of our last brides of 2024. We booked Cinderellas for the steaming of our suits, bridesmaid dresses and my dress, they were literally fantastic! They picked them up a few days before the wedding and delivered them back 7.30am on the wedding morning, which was ideal as it meant i didn’t have to hide my dress from my husband! They then picked my dress up at 9.30am the morning after the wedding to clean and delivered it back 24 hours later ready for us to fly home! Absolutely amazing service my dress was like brand new!
