SOCRATES
Passionate digger and performer characterised by a deep connection with vinyl records. Sonically dedicated to a plethora of genres including electro, house, EBM and the primitive forms of trance and techno. Enamoured of dancing and the profound effect it has on humans, Socrates habitually seeks rhythm.
Between 2013 until 2019 Socrates was resident dj at Cyprus’ most historic club, klubd performing many main-act sets as well as warming up the floor for esoteric djs and acts such as Nicolas Lutz, Daniel Bell, Binh, Francesco Del Garda, Sonja Moonear, Do Or Die, Vera, Sonja Moonear, Evan Baggs, Ceephax Acid Crew, and many others. He is currently resident dj at Sllip, the only underground techno club in Cyprus.
Since 2015 he has served as resident dj of the long-standing Manic parties where he had the opportunity to play sets alongside acts such as Âme, Quest, Priku, Barac, Patrice Baumel, and Vlada among others. His most cherished moment as part of the Manic team was playing straight before and straight after Berghain’s longest-serving resident dj, Marcel Dettmann to a 500+ effervescent crowd.
Between 2016 and 2019 he managed klubd’s artist bookings consequently inviting acts he admires such as Binh, Quest, Francesco Del Garda, and Do or Die among others.
He is also co-founder of Ophan festival and the KATHXHTIKO series of day parties.
