Analogue Foundation Berlin presents the third in a series of intimate live music events on November 21st at the historic Zenner Saal in Treptower Park, Berlin.

This next edition sees a live performance by British pianist Eliza McCarthy, who will be interpreting piano works from Slow Dark Green Murky Waterfall by acclaimed composer Mica Levi, for a deeply contemplative listening experience full of quiet intensity and emotional resonance.

Also featured is American composer and guitarist Patrick Higgins, blending his mastery of the acoustic guitar with innovative electronic manipulation to create dynamic and immersive sonic worlds.

The evening will begin with a DJ set by Gizem Öz, whose sets are known for their fluid, genre-crossing narratives, thus providing an atmospheric introduction to the night.

This series continues to transform the Saal into an intimate listening environment reminiscent of a studio session, with musicians positioned throughout the space and the audience closely engaged.

Tickets are limited to maintain the intimate setting.

Concentric Records continues its exploration of immersive, genre-defying music for the second edition of its live showcase at Zenner, Berlin.

At the forefront is Gigi Masin, the Venetian composer and ambient music pioneer whose deeply emotional improvisational compositions are characterised by serene atmospheres and delicate soundscapes.

Also performing live is Temple Rat, a rising electronic artist from China known for integrating traditional Chinese instruments like the guqin with modern ambient and electronic elements, evoking spiritual and mystical themes.

On the decks, Marco Shuttle will deliver one of his signature deep and atmospheric sets creating richly textured, hypnotic soundscapes that oscillate between dark, industrial and more experimental tones.

Opening the night will be label founders Simone Merli (Soundwalk Collective) and Born In 1986, whose experimental ambient sets blend field recordings and deconstructed rhythms reflecting their eclectic and boundary-pushing ethos.

Miles Whittaker and Sean Canty have been releasing music as Demdike Stare for a decade and a half, deftly refining their own strand of electronic music lying at the intersection of techno, dub, ambient, jungle and many others genres.

Originally hailing from Manchester, the duo have taken their dark and drum-inflected sound to the furthest reaches of the electronic music scene, often transcending club culture and branching into experimental concerts & festivals.

For our next session of 180 min we are super excited to welcome the pair to our historic Saal for a night of unbridled atmospheric experimentation as they perform a rare 3-hour live set accompanied by a spellbinding light show from Mike Erwin. If you’ve been following the series (which has already seen the likes of Rrose, .VRIL and Rødhäd) you know to expect the unexpected.

Supporting Demdike Stare on the night will be the supremely talented Gizem Öz. Renowned for her roles as a sound artist, contemporary artist, DJ and producer, her ambient sets create cohesive sonic narratives that continue to resonate long after the music ends.

Analogue Foundation Berlin presents the second event in a series of intimate live music performances, on September 5th at the historic Zenner Saal in Treptower Park, Berlin.

Following a very successful opening event this past May, headlined by contemporary artist and composer Kali Malone, this second iteration is focused on a special solo live performance by Catalonian conservatory trained composer Marina Herlop. As a vocalist, pianist, and percussionist, she channels her environment in truly posthuman form; drawing inspiration from Carnatic music of Southern India, Herlop merges alien vocal acrobatics and stacatto percussion in an assemblage of chimeric compositions.

Supporting Marina’s performance, Analogue Foundation invites British musicians Lucy Railton and Kit Downes for a very special collaboration with Hammond organ and cello, mixing modern composition with improvisation. Lucy Railton is a cellist, composer and sound artist based in Berlin and London who, after formal classical training in the UK and the US, moved her focus towards improvisation, contemporary and electronic music. Kit Downes is a BBC Jazz Award winning, Mercury Music Award nominated, solo recording artist for ECM Records.

The night will open with a unique DJ set by Colombian interdisciplinary artist Natalia Escobar, whose practice encompasses moving images, sound, performance, and installations, her work having been exhibited at prestigious venues including the Museo Nacional in Bogotà, HKW and Berlinesche Galerie in Berlin, CCD in Mexico City, and La Casa Encendida in Madrid. This series will transform the Saal into a unique listening environment reminiscent of an intimate studio session with the artist. The musicians will be positioned throughout the Saal and surrounded by the audience who may choose to experience the event seated, standing, or lying down, closely engaging with the performance in a shared acoustic space.

We’re feeling truly blessed to have been transported to another divine dimension courtesy of .infrastructure and .lighting last night for a glorious seventh edition of 180 min.

Now it’s time to hang up the bass bins for a short break from indoor events as we make way for the summer programme outdoors (did somebody say SIP!?).

It’s time for another outstanding 180 minutes edition!

As we’re sure you know by now, the concept is beautiful in it’s simplicity: we warm up with an emerging artist, before being transported to the sublime sonic realms of some of electronic music’s finest creators for a full three-hour live set.

David Sumner aka Function has been producing music since the mid-nineties, releasing relentless driving techno on seminal British label Downwards as one half of Portion Reform with Birmingham sound originator Regis, before teaming up with Regis and Silent Servant to deliver the boundary-breaking Sandwell District project.

Supporting Function, we welcome Sarah Wreath. In Sarah’s vision, there is no prevailing preference over the role of producer or DJ - no hierarchical distinction between the club’s dancefloor, the acoustic hall or the healing sound bath. In the same perspective, both the creator and the careful selector of music & sound are entrusted with the power of touching the body-mind complexities of listeners and dancers with forceful acoustic messages.

Mike Erwin Klose (.lighting ) has been illuminating Berlin nightlife for the past twenty years as resident light technician of Berghain, and has more recently become a mainstay of the 180 minutes series at Zenner. With each iteration he brings the audience to further and more distant territories, away from the usual time and place settings of a midweek night.
