This past Saturday, I had the chance to perform again at Sisyphos after a year, and it was a mix of many emotions.

The first one was gratitude—not only to the Sisyphos family for the great organization, but also to the crowd for
dancing with me. Among all the tracks I played, there were two very special ones, produced and partially mixed by me.
Both received a really positive response from the crowd (Video 2), much more than I had expected.

Little by little, the time spent in the studio is paying off.

Another feeling I had this Saturday was acceptance and recognition.
Many times, we don’t feel like we’re at the right level and we’re hard on ourselves.

Piano e sano si arriva lontano, as they say in Italian.

After all this, I also feel excited about the new projects that are starting to unfold in the not-so-distant future.

Techno in Berlin has been given cultural heritage status by UNESCO 🔊

It comes after a collective of DJs, festival organisers and fans campaigned to secure the status for Berlin’s techno scene with fears that the culture wouldn't survive without it.

The campaign followed reports that an estimated 100 clubs in Berlin have closed in the last decade.

Rave The Planet began lobbying German authorities to apply for intangible cultural heritage status of Berlin techno in 2021.

“We did it!” announced Rave The Planet yesterday. “Congratulations to all the cultural creators who have shaped and contributed to Berlin's techno culture. A big thank you to everyone involved who has been with us on this journey since Hans Cousto's initial idea in 2011.”

Berlin techno has now been added to the list of intangible cultural heritage (ICH) in Germany. The move could bring social and economic advantages, hoping to make it easier for those looking to open and maintain nightclubs in Berlin, providing access to government subsidies and funding.

“This is another milestone for Berlin techno producers, artists, club operators and event organizers," Berlin’s said.

How about Detroit techno and Chicago house next UNESCO? 👀
