Tonight’s .de show is dedicated to the life and work of Iannis Xenakis, architect, engineer and modern classical composer.

The idea for this special was born from a recent trip to Athens, where I spent my days listening to his music intently, and was fortunate enough to visit the university where he studied.

The show will focus on everything from his early work under Le Corbusier, assisting in the realisation of both the Philips Pavilion and the Dominican Order priory Saint Marie de La Tourette, to his uncompromising and trailblazing incorporation of stochastic mathematics into his compositions, pioneering electro-acoustic music as we know it today.
