Flying into the weekend like 😜 Full of anticipation, I'll be heading soon to Nuremberg, where I'm headlining the Friday event at Die Rakete. 🚀

The lovely peeps from Techno für Nürnberg and FuF Family have invited me to play a Techno set on the main floor from 1 to 3 AM. 💣

With a special decoration on all floors, they will turn one of the most famous flagships for electronic music in Southern Germany into a real spaceship that will catapult you out of orbit. 🪐👽

A little “new Techno podcast out now” fairy tale 🎶

Once upon a time, there was a hidden kingdom in Berlin, where a girl lived with hair as brown as ebony. 👩🏽

But the girl was bored in her dreary everyday life. 🥱 At one Friday, she finally managed to break out. 💪

Not far from her home, she found an old dusty mirror. 🪞 She asked: "Mirror, mirror on the wall, who has a new podcast for the start to the weekend?" 🔊

And the mirror took her on a magical SoundCloud journey with an intro in which a woman stands in the club, the bass eats into her heart and soul, the floor comes to life through the vibration of the feet, and she finally breathes freedom for the first time. 🙌💃

This gig, during which I played a mix of Melodic Techno, Indie Dance and mainly Peak Time Techno, is one I’ll definitely remember for a very long time. ❤️

On the one hand because of the lovely team and on the other hand because of the amazing crowd that danced passionately until the morning. 💃🏻🕺

Von Frankfurt nach Berlin ging es für Mia im Jahr 2016 und drei Jahre später hatte sie bereits ihren ersten Gig. Mit ihren facettenreichen Sets hat Mia Mangata bereits in Clubs wie dem Mensch Meier, Ritter Butzke und KitKatClub oder auf dem Amsterdam Dance Event ihre musikalischen Spuren hinterlassen. Ihr energetischer Stil reicht von Progressive House und Melodic Techno bis hin zu Indie Dance. As you might have noticed, you haven't heard much from me lately: no gig announcements, new SoundCloud sets, or much social media content.

I even skipped the usual review of the year, although there was a actually a lot I was thankful for in 2022: from special moments in clubs like KitKatClub (Official), Ritter Butzke, Mensch Meier, and Odonien to 3 very nice festivals in Germany and the Amsterdam Dance Event in the Netherlands. But in the end, that’s just name-dropping.

Words can’t describe how much I enjoyed every single of the 32 gigs I played last year! I'm extremely grateful to the people behind it (too many to name here), who believed in me and supported me.

And I especially appreciate you, who always put a smile on my face with all your lovely personal feedback and messages.

Since my surgery in December, I’ve been focusing mainly on my health. For me, the last time has been very challenging, both physically and mentally. So I took some time off, swapping energy drinks for smoothies and party nights for walks in the nature to help my body recover.

I'm glad to start the new year with new energy and I’m more than excited that I can finally share my love for music with you again.

Belated Merry Christmas, boyz & girlz! 🎄🎁🤶

After spending a part of the holidays in the hospital, I'm even happier to be with my family now, recovering surrounded by my loved ones, and catching up on Christmas dinner, presents, and all the other nice traditions. 😊

One of the sweetest Christmas gifts I received (thanks mum! 🥰🙏) was a collection of personal 80s & 90s memories from this mini me.

I admire so much how my parents managed it to raise this little energy bundle. 😜 Before I learned to use things like writing and music as a creative outlet for my ADHD, I kept my family pretty busy. 🫢

Mum, dad, sis: You’re amazing! Thanks so much for your patience and your love! ❤️
