We are looking forward to the German premiere of »Mirror Image«, the latest work by Echo Collective tomorrow at silent green.
In »Mirror Image«, Margaret and Neil embark on a transformative journey, seamlessly blending contemporary classical compositions with mesmerizing, immersive soundscapes in 4DSound.
The Brussels-based duo have forged an enviable reputation in the post-classical world: sought out for their instrumental and arranging expertise by icons such as »A Winged Victory For The Sullen« and the late »Jóhann Jóhannsson«.

Pheromone Poetry "Cassiopeia Cloud"
“Cassiopeia Cloud” first takes shape in a microtonal mist of drone sounds: it rises, enshrouds a Berlin sweetheart with the scent of flowers, rises further and further, attaches itself to a shooting star that’s en route to France, yet while floating over the Alpine region it sinks again into a valley of brass, only to dissolve into its sonic genome material as the day comes to an end.

Cosmic Swarm Laboratory "Perseus Flock"
German for “the pink meeting point,” “Treffpunkt Pink” sees six musicians form a swarm that moves through an expanse of synthesizer-generated landscapes. Said landscapes come with different tonal fields, each of which is assigned a color: “Pink” is one of six possible “meeting points” for the swarm to gather and rest for a moment before moving on and drifting apart once again.

Celebrating its 15th anniversary this year, Berlin-based Andromeda Mega Express Orchestra is opening Kosmostage 2021 with a program by ensemble leader/composer Daniel Glatzel. Looking within, the first two titles are impressions which are formally structured and orchestrated but each time collectively shaped anew in swarm-like and fluid movements. The 18-minute “Currents” flows through complex swaying rhythms steadily upstream, whatever may come, on and on.

Cosmic Swarm Laboratory “Lacerta Cluster”
“Likolit” is the name of an abandoned linoleum factory that towers over the surrounding roofs of Kohlmühle, a tiny village situated in the middle of the magical landscape of the Elbe Sandstone Mountains (between Saxony and Bohemia). The eponymous composition, inspired by the old plant and written by Johannes Schleiermacher, plays with the relationship between individual vs. swarm, thus creating a framework within the “Cosmic Swarm Laboratory” where musicians, algorithm and sonographer can interact.

After studying piano at the Academy of Music in Ljubljana Mirna Bogdanović pursued studies in jazz vocals, graduating from Jazz Institute Berlin. Soon to debut as a recording artist, Bogdanović’s album in the making involves a subtle interlacement of classical vocal techniques and contemporary methods.
