Welcome our second guest DJ for January, the fabulous Maddie🌻

Maddie is one half of the DJ duo “Daisies” who have been spinning vinyls since 2016 in places like: Schokoladen, 8MM, Bassy, Du Beast, Loophole, B.L.O., Wowsville, Lidolino uvm.

The music Maddie curates sounds like an endless Woodstock summer, paired with soundtracks everyone wants to make out to and fuzzy garage songs that make your head bang.

Her sets are strongly influenced by great females like Dusty Springfield, Nancy Sinatra, Heart, Courtney Barnett, Blondie (just to name a few)

The Berlin based DJ recently co-founded a FLINTA DJ collective « Sonic Sisters Society » to create a space to support and connect like-minded people. The collective focuses on varied genres like psychedelic rock, garage, disco, funk, world music and alternative rock.

Please welcome our support act for January:

The Birch emerged from a school band. Lucas (git, vox) eventually formed an independent group together with two friends from the Quedlinburg music scene. Since then, Volker (dr), Santiago (bass) and he have been a power trio that kicks ass at every performance. They played at several festivals (e.g. GOA23, Campusfestival Mittweida), in a lot of clubs all over Germany and quickly achieved local hero status in their hometown of Quedlinburg.
In August 2025 they went to Miami Beach to record their second studio album, which will be released at the end of March 2025.

A Certain Kind Presents is happy to make its first band introduction for January and we are so excited to host the London based Luxury Apartments for their first time in Berlin ⚡️⚡️

Born in 2021 Luxury Apartments (the band) pried its way into the London music scene where they came through with intent and dished out chaotic and intense live performances all around the capital. Started as a passion project by Matthew Turner (vocals / guitar) with a revolving but never devolving cast of the best players London had to offer pre-covid times, current real deal artists part of the LA canon include Chris Franks and Phil Smith. Like the real estate counterpart, Luxury Apartments began to sprawl all over the country, picking up acclaim from writers and magazines after recording and releasing a handful of killer but hard to find demos just as we rolled up to the plague years. Whilst the world shut down, Luxury Apartments buried themselves away and took the term lock down a bit too seriously by getting it locked down, penning an album which was packed out with 10 conjured, nurtured and crafted tracks.
At the end of 2023 Luxury Apartments began releasing the first few tracks from their forthcoming debut self titled album, which is due for release April 21st 2024 through Manchester based tastemaker record label Eeasy Records. The album was recorded with producer / engineer / musician Euan Hinshelwood (younghusband / cate le bon) and was put together on reel to reel tape in Euans studio in South London not long ago. It has been mastered by Mickey Young (Total Control / Eddy Current / Suppression Ring) and the artwork, made by reclusive artist Lesley Miserables brings together a solid 10 track debut from Luxury Apartments. Luxury Apartments, by Luxury Apartments promises to be one of the best punk albums of 2024.

Wow and blown away once again💜

This was the fourth and last club edition for 2024 and it couldn’t have been any better!

Big thank you to Felix& Christian for throwing a Rock’n’Roll show and heat up the evening, the guest DJS for leaving people no choice but to stay and dance until late 🌟& of course Bernar for amazing psychedelic lights!

The support of everyone who came to party with us means a lot since A Certain Kind Presents was born and we are happy to see how it’s growing into something really beautiful in time. We hope you all will be back for more adventures in 2025🛸 stay tuned for the next dates!

Bernar Gomma is a heavy dose of brazilian psychedelia mixed with artistic-contemporary abstraction. DIY solo art work, a total mind blowing light show. Old projector and rusty objects mixed with overlayed neo op-art images from another dimension.

Welcome Holly wood ☄️

Holger aka HOLLY WOOD, the blonde bomber and always in the party mood. He ́s the smartest one in the team who always sets the dancefloor on fire with his wild mix of freakbeat, 60s garage and stomping soul & r ́n ́b. His motto in life is “only the best for us” and with this in mind, he consistently gives his all behind the turntables!

Him and Bastian will keep you all dancing until the early morning hours and we cannot wait to have you join us 🔥

The event is one month away and it wouldn’t be as 🔥 without our great guest DJs!
Very thrilled to have Bastian Tröger on board for our fourth happening:

Bastian aka FACE B, a funny always laughing mop topped character who starts dancing when the first beat of the band hits the audience and he won ́t stop until the party ends in the early morning. Musically, he settles mostly for primitive 60s garage & teen sounds, both moody and angry ones but also some excursions into psychedelic wilderness here and there... He ́s also a talented artist who is drawing all flyers for the events of the dj team.

He did DJ all around Europe& the US, excited to have him join us 🌟

A Certain Kind Presents is happy to host the wild wild SUX SUX SUX from Austria for the last happening this year 💥💥💥

Imagine, you are invited to spend a day at the beach together with The Mummies and Black Lips? Sounds trippy and sick to you? Well, then you are right. Put on your best shorts and bring your salami-recorder because Sux Sux Sux are going to blast you. These records spinning weirdos with budget rock attitude and love for sh*tty guitars do it right! Formally known as Salami Sux, they have been around for while and come from the gutters of Vienna and STP. SUX³ = Sux Sux Sux … well math’s is complicated … but don’t worry, their garage surf punk sound isn’t!

Get ready for them to set the night on 🔥

This was edition #3 of our club💥

Despite missing Moon Balloon we had a full night of good energies, electric music and a dance floor on fire until late🌟

Big thanks to Great Silkie who played a fabulous show, and Ben Jones Nickel & Charlie Salvidge for their amazing sets and everyone else for coming out to support us- couldn’t have made it without the help of you!
