Refracted’s music feels as fundamentally human as it sounds otherworldly. It is techno more as an idea and conduit, than as an easily- labeled sound. It is dance music where layered rhythms act almost on a neural, sub epidermal level, while moving and evolving soundscapes acquire a tactile, understated physicality. Paramount examples of this can be found on releases on Refracted’s own Mind Express label, and on celebrated labels like Bitta, PoleGroup, Semantica, Sublunar and Canadian ambient/deep-techno imprint Silent Season. With his path unraveling further, his sound has evolved beyond just techno, becoming a conduit for exploring the
boundaries of experimental and drone music.
Spiritual, almost meditative, his sets also possess a strong kinetic energy when needed, which is a clear indication of a DJ who knows the fundamental role of dancing as part of the ritual. He wants to take us somewhere, the “where” being of our own choosing, the trail never being the
most travelled.

Originally from Hildesheim, the artistic foundation of PAREKA was forged in the vibrant underground of a small German town, where he began organizing parties to make music accessible in an environment often resistant to non-commercial sounds. These formative experiences laid the groundwork for his artistic identity, fostering a deep understanding of the dancefloor and a strong emphasis on storytelling, an essential element that defines his DJ sets.

Moving to Berlin marked a pivotal moment in his career. Here, he founded BINÄR ( .berlin ), a vinyl-only label and podcast series that reflects his dedication to analog warmth and timeless grooves. Alongside this, the artist refined his craft working as a light technician in a prominent Berlin techno club, where he gained valuable insight into the interplay between music and atmosphere, transforming soundscapes into immersive and multisensory experiences.

PAREKA’s sound gravitates toward techno, characterized by meticulously crafted sets that stand out for their precision and narrative depth. Ukrainian DJ and producer Gael is one of the most intriguing figures in the contemporary techno scene. With a unique and distinctive approach, her DJ sets combine dark techno, industrial, and ambient sounds, creating dynamic journeys through pulsating rhythms and deep atmospheres. Her ability to maintain a constant narrative tension captivates the audience, transporting them into a complex, intense, and hypnotic sonic universe.

One of her standout tracks, “Nothing to Say,” created with Jolly and released on our label in 2022, masterfully blends intense rhythms and dreamlike atmospheres, perfectly embodying her style.

We are proud to mark Polygonia’s RSO debut. After performances at numerous prestigious venues, she has become a regular in Berlin’s iconic clubs like Tresor and Berghain.

Polygonia’s soundscape is both organic and mystical, woven with inventive yet captivating rhythms. Her music spans a rich spectrum: groovy, trippy techno, breakbeat, bass music, and grey area, while also drawing in elements of house, electro, ambient, and more. Inspired deeply by nature, her signature style shines in releases with Monument, Bambounou’s Bambe label, Midgar Records, Kangding Ray’s ara imprint, and most recently, Eaux with Rrose.
In July 2022, she launched her own label, QEONE.

On November 1st, we’re excited to welcome an artist who has made experimentation his signature. Starting his career in French clubs, UFO95 quickly gained attention for crafting hypnotic, powerful atmospheres that keep the dance floor in constant motion. With Mama Told Ya, his sound leaned more rave and hardcore, while his recent work with labels like Mord, Tresor and the WSNWG series with Rødhåd reflects a more hypnotic evolution in his style. Our collaboration began with his track on our compilation ᴘʀᴏᴛᴇᴄᴛ ᴛʜᴇ ꜱᴋʏ, and now deepens with this second gig for us.

Berlin-based DJ Viscerale delivers high-energy, genre-fluid sets, fusing the dark and intense sounds of Techno, EBM, Trance, and Gabber. Drawing influence from the experimental scene of Hamburg and her classical background in piano, her journey began with curating mixtapes and has taken her to iconic venues such as Berghain, Tresor, Ohm, RSO, and Fold. This past July, she brought her signature energy to a special summer party we ran at .berlin in collaboration with .energy.berlin , a night filled with pulsating beats and an electric atmosphere that kept everyone on their feet. Every set Viscerale plays is an evolving journey, driven by raw emotion, ensuring a deep connection with the crowd that lingers long after the music fades. This one is for sure one for the books!

Deestricted is a Berlin based party, managed by the techno squad members from the event company Meet Compact Club. It is the darkest side who aims to explore the boundaries of raw industrial sounds through loud beats and ripetitive rhythms in several artistic ways. Sound of Deestricted is perfectly suitable for an ideal soundtrack for a compilation of erotic films intended to illuminate the points where art meets sexuality.
