It´s a wrap!

The inaugural edition of New Visions For Music & Sound ended yesterday in Berlin.

To be honest, if someone had asked me just two weeks ago how I imagined NEW VISIONS would turn out, I never would have guessed that more than 1100 brilliant visitors would show up from all over the & world to network and share their inspiring stories, products and meaningful business insights.

From the moment we opened the doors at 10 a.m. on Thursday, people were lining up, and we could immediately feel the immense positive energy flowing into the Pfefferberg area.

That energy lasted throughout the entire two days and continues even now with all the great feedback we’re receiving.

I feel truly humbled by the entire experience, which, of course, would not have been possible without a fantastic team, the support of Senatsverwaltung für Wirtschaft, Energie und Betriebe & Michael Biel, Initiative Musik & Music Tech Europe Academy (Anna Zòò you rock!) and, most importantly, YOU, the speakers, startups, and guests!

Once again, thank you so much. We will continue our work with WISE - The Future Festival & Think Tank. More soon. Enjoy your weekend!

It’s a wrap! 🎉 The second day of the Conference gave us another round of exciting insights, discussions and music visions for the future. From impactful panels over encouraging keynotes, fascinating startup presentations and mindful workshops - the 2nd conference day was a huge success and we’re greateful for this commonly shared journey!
Many thanks to the speakers and partners and to everybody who joined us and made NEW VISIONS an impacting experience.

NEW VISIONS CONFERENCE MCs

Meet our wonderful MCs for the New Visions Conference who will be guiding you through the days:

Yolanda Sylvana Rother is co-founder of The Impact Company. She moderates and speaks on topics related to digital society, politics and open government, diversity and sustainability. The Berlin native is a graduate of the Hertie School and has lived in Brazil, France and the United States.

Aliena Haig has over a decade of arts, media and communications experience. Raised internationally, she has continued to work globally in the cultural, musical, environmental and social impact sectors. With a career beginning as an interview producer at Daily Aljazeera Quetta in Qatar, she has led communications for global art music event, Classical:NEXT; for Deutsche Grammophon - DG's streaming platform STAGE+ and at the Academy for Impact through Music. A frequent moderator, facilitator and event host, her favourite thing to do is ask questions and dig deep to find answers.

Emiko Gejic is a Berlin-born artist, creative, activist, and founder of Berlinsidestories, dedicated to promoting Berlin's cultural scene. As an executive board member of Clubcommission Berlin, she supports the city's nightlife, subculture, and club culture through political advocacy, organizing protests, communication and legal support. Emiko is also a producer and consultant for nightlife and creative industries, organizing events and tours. Her roles extend to public speaking, moderation, and acting.

Christoph Schrag is a freelance journalist in radio and podcast, usually talking about unsigned music from Germany or current affairs. Most of his work is published by rbb24.

For the 16th Spatial Media Lab Spatial Media Lab Meetup, our speakers Felix Deufel, Monica Bolles and Stefan Bock will join in. They will not only talk about their visionary ideas for spatial audio but give listening excerpts for all interested guests on an 8.1.4 loudspeaker system.

Who can join?

The company's models provide fine-grained control over various musical elements, ensuring that your creative vision remains intact. Fuse.space connects the world through creativity, securing intellectual property so creators can collaborate fearlessly. They replace trust with security, making ownership verifiable with every interaction. They digitalize the process of releasing music including choosing the necessary steps, collaborators and services, meaning all sorts of promotion, marketing and pitching services in the music industry. Musicsteps forms a hub where music creators can network, connect, pitch and release their music with with a variety music service provider on our market place.

Reactional Music offers cutting-edge musical interactivity in a game engine straight out of the box, and opens up in-game personalisation of music - that scales. The company has leadership from Kelly Sumner along with a team from EA, Spotify & Epic Games. It has powerful implications for composition and live musical performance in any game engine-driven experience.

Djoid is a Music Curation Platform for Djs & Record Labels aimed to help reduce curation time by 90%. Djoid was created by Alaa Elhadba. He had the idea after spending a lot of time curating a 5.000 tracks music library. With Djoid this process can easily be automated.

Ectoplastic operates at the intersection of art, music, and technology. The company develops interactive interfaces between audiovisual media and artistic expressions. Ectoplastic explores how music enthusiasts can enter a creative flow and how electronic music and musical gestures can come closer together. The company not only develops and distributes Mazetools products but also engages in advisory, artistic, and mediating activities in various fields.

Sonic Moves is a young German startup with a vision: To make body-interactive sound experiences accessible for everyone. They want to empower artists with a new dimension for expression without the need for coding and complex technical setups. Further, wtehye want to make these experiences accessible to everyone by bringing this medium to everyday mobile devices. Sonic Moves thinks that there are many enjoyable and useful applications for body-interactive audio, such as art, entertainment, mindfulness and physiotherapy.
