Adamson is proud to be a founding member of HELA, the Healthy Ears, Limited Annoyance initiative. This essential industry-wide effort aims to establish standards for managing and monitoring sound levels at live events, ensuring safer and more enjoyable experiences for everyone involved.
HELA Certification is comprehensive, covering eight critical areas:
· Audience expectations
· Human auditory system
· Fundamentals of sound
· Venue design
· Noise pollution
· Sound level limits
· Personal hearing protection
· Management and communication
By addressing these areas, HELA ensures that all stakeholders, from sound technicians to venue managers, are trained in responsible sound management. This initiative is necessary to protect audiences, coworkers, and neighbors from excessive noise and promote a healthier live music environment.
