Am 05.05. laden wird euch zu einer kleinen (Nach)mittagszeig in den Nordpol ein. Wir haben diesmal 2 Banden von weiter weg für euch:

DISAVOW aus Göteborg (Schweden) machen schnellen, brutalen, treibenden Hartkern. Das Ganze gemischt mit der Gerade-Kante-Attitüde ist eine gefährliche Mischung!

Emaskülatör kommen aus Ankara (Türkei) und sind auch schnell unterwegs. Sie selbst bezeichnen sich als “kaltakcore”. Laut, femistisch, rabaukig, kernig!

Türen: 16:00 Uhr
Tanzen: 17:00 Uhr
Spendenempfehlung: 5-15 Euro (Wer kein Geld hat oder unter 18 ist, braucht nicht zu spenden)

Es wird Kaffee und Kuchen verkauft. Das Geld geht an den Verein!

On 05.05., we invite you to a small (afternoon) show at Nordpol in Dortmund. This time we have 2 bands from further away for you:

Emaskülatör from Ankara (Turkey) are also fast-paced. They describe themselves as "kaltakcore". Loud, feminist, p***y, Hardcore!

New year, new show! On March 23 three bands from Dortmund will take over AZ Mülheim.ola and will play the finest wave tunes 🦇 and will return to the stage with a new twist to their music.

I'm so excited to announce the next event at ! 💜 The Witches They Tried To Burn Vol. VIII features indie glam punk band from Berlin and local riot grrrl grunge bands from Köln and from Dortmund.
In addition to the bands there will be some special guests to complete the experience 👀 Stay tuned!

On June 21st (Wednesday) How Yes No from Zagreb, Croatia will bring their post punk/art punk/wave power to Dortmund as part of their Europe tour. Make sure to check out their EP "Small Talk" and the video for "Under the Rug". I'm a fan!
They will be supported by Cat P**s Potion from Dortmund. This new riot grrrl/alternative punk band (whose members you might recognise already) will play their debut show.

I'm excited to announce that this show will take place at Hafenschänke subrosa! The price: pay what you want/can. Tickets can already be bought now if you want.

Here it is, on May 20: The Witches They Tried to Burn Vol. Vl! This time again at AZ Mülheim.

Apart from the local grrrlpunk band Cunte from Düsseldorf, two bands from Leipzig will play: (an)archaeo punk band Koprolith and the mighty VOTS with their dramatic bitch metal (aka stoner/doom metal)!
Btw, this lineup consists almost exclusively of FLINTA*. I can't wait!

Heute ist der 8. März - Internationaler feministischer Kampftag. Doch wie wir FLINTA* wissen, ist jeden Tag feministischer Kampftag - so lange bis wir die durch das Patriarchat und Kapitalismus verursachten Probleme beseitigt haben.
Das hier ist kein Infoaccount und ich bin kein Experte. Dazu gibt es Accounts und Menschen, die das alles viel besser erklären und darüber informieren können (z.B. .echo). Allerdings bin ich eine Frau und habe somit Erfahrung mit den Problemen von FLINTA* Personen in unserer Gesellschaft.
Ich wollte den Post heute dazu nutzen danke zu sagen. Ich will nicht lügen - eine Motivation Shows zu organisieren, war somit auch selbst aufzutreten. Ein anderes Ziel war und ist jedoch auch anderen FLINTA* eine Bühne und mehr Sichtbarkeit zu geben. Und zu zeigen, dass FLINTA* im Punk und Metal zu 100% mit cis Männern mithalten können.
Ich bin super stolz darauf, dass meine "The Witches They Tried To Burn" Reihe so gut ankommt und die sechste Ausgabe davon bereits im Mai stattfinden wird! Danke dafür! Im Zuge dieser Shows konnte ich so viele tolle Menschen kennenlernen und vor allem FLINTA*, die jeden Tag dafür kämpfen unsere patriarchale Gesellschaft ein wenig gerechter und lebenswerter zu machen. Und ich habe so viele neue Bands und geile Musik entdeckt. Dass die Konzerte so gut besucht sind zeigt für mich eindeutig, dass FLINTA* in der Musikszene ihren Platz mehr als verdient haben und ich werde auch weiterhin daran arbeiten euch tolle Bands zu präsentieren!
Bei meinen Events geht es zum Großteil um Musik, es sind in erster Linie Konzerte. Doch ich bin mir sicher, dass jeder noch so kleine Schritt in eine gleichberechtigte Zukunft ein wichtiger ist. Wenn sich auch nur eine FLINTA* Person dadurch empowered fühlt sich endlich mit den Personen auf der Bühne identifizieren zu können, dann hat sich die ganze Arbeit bereits gelohnt. Und ich glaube das hat sie.
Gemeinsam sind wir stärker. Wir sehen uns später auf der Demo!

The Witches They Tried To Burn Vol. V is going to take place on 14th of April at Rattenloch Schwerte and this time it's a release party special!

"Krachiger Deutschpunk" band Münzmikrowelle from Dortmund are releasing an EP and punk-infused death/sludge metal band GODMORGON (also from Dortmund) their first album! No Hooks from Paderborn are going to support with some heavy hardcore tunes.
Come and celebrate this awesome double release with us and stay for a drink or two after the shows 🎉

The Witches They Tried To Burn Vol. III was incredible! Thanks to Black Square, GVLA and SPIT ACID for playing amazing shows! I'm happy - but not surprised - so many people came.
Fun fact: there were twice as many women as men on stage! And many flinta* people in the audience. Love to see it!

The Witches They Tried To Burn Vol. IV is here and I'm very excited to bring Coltaine, kariti and Daevar to Rattenloch Schwerte on 10th March!

Coltaine and Kariti will stop in Schwerte as part of their "Tales of Southern Lands" Europe tour and will be supported by Daevar from Cologne whose debut album will be released end of January.
