Die Frankfurter Buchmesse ist wichtigster internationaler Handelsplatz für Inhalte – von Romanen über Kinderbücher hin zu wissenschaftlichen Datenbanken. Hier treffen sich Experten aus dem weltweiten Publishing mit Partnern aus der Technologiebranche und den angrenzenden Kreativindustrien wie Film und Games. Gleichzeitig ist die Messe kulturelles Großereignis und macht die Mainmetropole Frankfurt

Frankfurter Buchmesse is the most important international trading place for content, from novels and children’s books to academic databases. Publishing professionals from around the world meet here with partners from the technology sector and from related creative industries, such as film and games; it is here that new cooperation agreements and business models find their first inspiration. At the same time, the Book Fair is also a huge cultural event which, for five days every year, turns Frankfurt on the Main into the centre of the international media world.

When young book people take 2.5 weeks to explore the Franco-German book industry, it's Frankfurt-Paris Fellowship time again!📚

🚀From 16 June to 3 July 2025, the 10 participants in the funding programme gained insights into various areas of the book market. The German stops included:

📍dtv Verlagsgesellschaft
📍Verlag arsEdition.. and many more.

The programme aims to connect young industry members and open up new professional, linguistic and intercultural perspectives.🌟

The Paris-Frankfurt Fellowship is organised together with the Franco-German Youth Office (OFAJ DFJW), the Bureau International de l'Edition Française (BIEF) and Pro Helvetia.

Cornelia Funke is passing on the torch to this year’s keynote speaker, Axel Scheffler, with the following words:

His art has enchanted my children and now it enchants my granddaughter Lyra; it is timeless and there is a kindness in it that makes us all believe in a world ruled by friendship, tender and fair despite all the darkness gathering outside. At today's press conference, The Philippines as Guest of Honour at the Frankfurt Book Fair 2025 announced it has organized over 77 literary events featuring 100 authors and 50 artists across exhibitions, performances, and film screenings.📚

✨"Under the motto 'The imagination peoples the air', a program is being created that builds relationships: between continents and generations; between colonial heritage, climate change and visions of the future.", says Juergen Boos, Director of Frankfurt Buchmesse about the Guest of Honour Programme.
