It’s time! 🌟

This Saturday, we’re kicking off the countdown to Miudinho Festival 2025 🥳 Join us for the Launch Party at .salon.bln!

We’re starting at 9 PM with a DJ set by 🔥

The DJ journey of Falco (from Amsterdam, Netherlands) dates back to 2013, during which time he played reggaeton, dancehall and electronic music. At the end of 2022 he discovered forró and has since dropped all other genres to dedicate himself to collect the best vinyl forró 💿

His style can be described as a mix of ballroom and roots; bringing together classic and traditional forró, musical orchestras and heavy balanço.

His goal is to create a musical journey, together with the energy of the dancers! 💃

A jornada de DJ de Falco (de Amsterdã, Holanda) remonta a 2013, período em que ele tocou reggaeton, dancehall e música eletrônica. No final de 2022, descobriu o forró e, desde então, abandonou todos os outros gêneros para se dedicar a colecionar os melhores vinis de forró 💿

Seu objetivo é criar uma viagem musical, juntamente com a energia dos dançarinos! 💃

As we continue our journey through the history of forró, we arrive at a time of transformation – for both the music and the dance.

Towards the end of the 20th century, new instruments like guitar, electric bass, drum set and keyboard were introduced, reshaping the sound of traditional forró 🎸🎹

Meanwhile, the dance evolved, drawing inspiration from styles like salsa and tango. Unlike traditional forró pé-de-serra, forró universitário and forró roots encouraged a more professional approach, often requiring classes to master their techniques 👣

Today, we’re sure it’s just the beginning of forró’s worldwide career! 💙

Ao continuarmos nossa jornada pela história do forró, chegamos a um momento de transformação - tanto para a música quanto para a dança.

No final do século XX, novos instrumentos como guitarra, baixo elétrico, bateria e teclado foram introduzidos, remodelando o som do forró tradicional 🎸🎹

Enquanto isso, a dança evoluiu, inspirando-se em estilos como a salsa e o tango. Ao contrário do forró pé-de-serra tradicional, o forró universitário e o forró roots incentivaram uma abordagem mais profissional, muitas vezes exigindo aulas para dominar suas técnicas 👣

Today we’re celebrating National Forró Day, marking the birthday of Luiz Gonzaga, born on 13 December 1912 🎂

Forró’s roots go back long before Luiz Gonzaga, but he was the one who crafted the unique trio sound (accordion, triangle and bass drum) we recognize today 🪗

However, as our timeline shows, his undeniable influence is just one part of forró’s rich history...

„Espumas ao Vento” („Foams in the Wind”) was written in 1997 by Accioly Neto, a singer-songwriter from Pernambuco. It became widely known through Raimundo Fagner’s soulful interpretation.

The lyrics reflect the pain of a love that has ended, but they contrast this loss with the hope that true love is not as fragile or fleeting as foam carried away by the wind 🌬️🌊
