The city gained international fame due to this architectural marvel, which unintentionally leans to one side due to a structural flaw in its construction. The tower attracts numerous tourists who come to see and take pictures with the famous landmark.

In addition to the Leaning Tower, Pisa is renowned for its rich history and beautiful architectural heritage. The city's historic center, known as the Piazza dei Miracoli (Square of Miracles), is a UNESCO World Heritage site and houses several other notable structures, including the Pisa Cathedral, the Baptistery, and the Camposanto Monumentale (Monumental Cemetery). These buildings showcase stunning examples of Romanesque and Gothic architecture.
