Over the past ten years the agency was able to not only add live performers to its roster but to also expand into new markets such as Asia, Africa and Australia. HISTORY
Back in '98 the founder, Sia , was a promoter himself and wanted to bring true Hip-Hop flava to his club in Berlin, Germany. Starting out with the real Hip-Hop pioneers, he booked DJ legend Tony Touch. The party was a success and
word spread quickly that there was someone who was able to bring in DJ's from the US. Soon other club promoters got in touch with Heavy Rotation and Sia was able to not only book talent for his own shows, but to add on additional dates for his artists. Shortly after Sia organized the Lucky Strike Beatnuts Tour throughout Germany, Switzerland and Austria. Soon Germany's festival promoters heard about Heavy Rotation and had the agency handle the talent buying for the urban genre. Busta Rhymes, Raekwon, and Mobb Deep are only a few of the artists Sia was able to place at Europe's leading festivals such as the Splash Festival and the MTV Hip-Hop Open. The strong relationships Sia had maintained with urban DJs in the US enabled Heavy Rotation to book Aftershow Parties for major artists such as 50 Cent, Alicia Keys and Eminem. Clothing brands such as Rocawear, Baby Phat, Southpole and Phat Farm used the agency to spice up their corporate events with international talent. Heavy Rotation was also the first agency to introduce Hip-Hop artists from the south to the European club scene. Artist such as the Ying Yang Twins, Lil Scrappy and the King of Crunk himself, Lil Jon were first introduced to Europe by Heavy Rotation. Today Heavy Rotation works with a dedicated team of 10 employees constantly putting forth their best effort to meet our customers' needs; promoters as well as artists. You can now reach us around the clock, either at our US office or our office in Germany.
