Some words from IVUR about his first live gig at GLAMOUR TOUJOURS **Festival 2024** and the process leading there....

We are super happy we were part of this! ❤️ Their gig was freaking fantastic and we highly recommend these two talented individuals for future live shows!! 🔥🔥🔥

Hey, folks! I wanted to write down some of my impressions of our first live show and the process towards our live setup.

When I released my first EP "ALPHA" I was quite surprised about the amount of positive feedback I got and how many people were showing interest in this little project.

Quite soon I got the first booking enquiries. As I had planned for this to be a studio project, I politely turned them down at first.

After some time I thought: Why not write some more songs an do this live as well?

This lead to the first problem: my voice. Will it hold out for a whoe live gig? I went through some really funky medical examination, found out what's wrong and how to work around it. So... voice: Check!

With this issue out of the way I came across the next issue: I'm a really lousy keyboard player and, well, I didn't want to be on stage alone. That's where FKV came into play. He liked my idea to team up for live shows and had lot's of drive to do this. As he has experience in playing live, that I lack, the technical side of our live concept is completely based on his knowledge.

We then thoroughly prepared the songs for a live experience show and for the gear we planned to use. We especially wanted to incorporate FKVs Juno 106.

Loads of rehearsals and a vinyl release on Young & Cold Records later, we headed out to our first gig, which turned out not to be the typical "support a band in your hometown and nobody cares about you" thing, but a full-blown festival abroad in the form of Glamour Toujours

And there were loads of people that came especially for our debut show - wow, no pressure!

At this point I was still holding off booking enquiries, because I wasn't sure if I will like the whole stage experience thing and If I want to continue playing live.

In Munich, a great festival crew of friends awaited us and it was a dream line-up for us, as we got to open for my friend Jack Duckworth and his wonderful solo act SOFT RIOT

When I was about to hit the stage, I thought: Soon the big black abyss of nervousness and stage-fright will come and swallow me at any moment. But it never came.

The whole gig went really well (from my point of view) and I had tons of fun on stage and the energy from the crowd was fantastic.

So, yeah, long story short. We will continue down this road and we are open for bookings!

Next stop: Waveteef Festival - Friday, April 18th 2025. How crazy is that?!?!?

And there's some additional news.... but more about that later.

Dear Glamour Toujours festival attendees and wild weirdo friends!
We hope you had a great party and music experience at our festival and the post-festival blues doesn't hit you too hard 😅

We don't know how to even start saying thank you for this wonderful festival weekend! We are still processing all the great memories that have been created! That was just WOW 🥳🥳🥳

In those last few months and weeks we have been working hard to make this first two-days edition of our little DIY festival happen. We wanted to create a safe subculture space for all you party animals to enjoy the music we love together and to freak out and embrace whatever wild weirdo there is in you - we think our evil plan worked out beautifully 😂🥳😂🥳

So thank you to everyone who attended our festival and went wild and weird with us! All of you contributed to the crazy and warm hearted atmosphere that was prevalent the whole weekend from the first until the last minute! Many of you came from all sorts of cities in Europe like Berlin, Paris, Bielefeld, Cologne, Leipzig, Vienna and even Helsinki...(just to name a few...) !!! And many brought all sorts of glitter along that we now find in the oddest spots in our clothes and flats 😂👌😂 The support from all our guests including the lovely and motivating feedback we got from many of you means a lot to us and keeps us going 🫶💜🫶💜

A huge thank you goes of course to our bands Staatseinde, Zack Zack Zack, SOFT RIOT, IVUR and Gleitsicht for their amazing and inspiring gigs!!! 💜🔥💜 Honestly, each performance was a unique masterpiece of underground synth, wave and electronic music that made everyone happy and buzzing! We are extremely grateful that you shared your music and your creativity with us and all together created this amazing line-up! 🔥🎹🔥🎸🔥🎶🔥

(and we still can't believe that Staatseinde composed and performed a Glamour Toujours song - this is just crazy!! 😱💜😱💜)

A great thank you as well to our amazing DJs Mrs.pinkeyes, Mr.URNs / Signore URNA, Dr. Gregor Giesing and Christian Zimmermann for their beautiful sets! You really gave our motto "Dark Disco for Wild Weirdos" shape, colour and lots of wonderful tunes that kept the dancefloor burning until the early morning hours and a space for wild and weird party mischief🔥👏💃🕺🔥

Of course we would also like to thank Kafe Kult for having us and providing us with this amazing venue that just seems to be the perfect space for our dirty-glittery shenanigans 👌💜
And a big thank you goes as well to some wonderful individuals who contributed essential aspects to the festival:

And last but not least a special thank you to all our helpers: Chris & Steffi, Flora, Mat, Simi, Christian, Betti, Simone and our beach boys Basti & Vince!! 🫶🫶🫶 Without the hands and force of friends at the bar and at the entrance we wouldn't have been able to provide such a good experience for everyone! 👏💜👏💜

It's kind of sad it's already over, but we will definitely feed on all those awesome memories for a long time!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

For now we go back to our "normal" lives but be sure we will be back with more Dark Disco for Wild Weirdos shenanigans soon!!
