Looks like we're building on massive ground in Tübingen...

Conscious sounds Bush chemists Douglas Wardrop & King General first session in Germany in 2011 at the Mancuso in Tübingen! Jah Army Soundsystem was on 🔥🔥🔥 that night...!

This was just the first of many more highlights of Tübingen's ~40-year Reggae and Dub history that we’ve come across lately. Since then we’ve started digging deeper, collecting stories, pictures, recordings and articles from people who were happy to remember the 'good old times' when Tübingen was a well known hotspot for reggae music and later dub soundsystem culture as well...

This resulted in the ONCE UPON A TIME DUB SERIES @ Epplehaus starting in March 2024!
For episode #1 KING DAVID SOUNDSYSTEM 2.0 will set on a journey all the way from Berlin back to its own roots in Tübingen, where the first version was built in the 1990’s.

Das war nur das erste von vielen weiteren Highlights der rund 40-jährigen Reggae und Dub Geschichte Tübingens, die uns in letzter Zeit begegnet sind. Seitdem haben wir angefangen, tiefer zu graben und Geschichten, Bilder, Aufnahmen und Artikel von Menschen zu sammeln, die sich gerne an die 'guten alten Zeiten' erinnern, in denen Tübingen noch als eine 'Hochburg der Reggae Musik' galt.

Daraus ist die ONCE UPON A TIME DUB SERIES @ Epplehaus entstanden, mit der wir uns zum ersten mal im März 2024 gemeinsam mit dem KING DAVID SOUNDSYSTEM auf die Reise zurück in die 1990er begeben...

What a blessing, what a joy, what an honour ... to be reactivating one of the finest handmade soundsystems ever built in this town!

It's beyond words how thankful we are for this happening... for the perfect flow beforehand, the amazing energy on sunday and what this means for the future of Reggae & Dub Soundsystem culture in Tübingen ... 💓🙏

It was definitely a sunday to be remembered for a while... .when we were starting off nice & easy with a little less than half the sound - just perfect for the sunday session 👌😉 big up everybody who made it from near and far, give thanks for the great vibes!!

Can't wait for the next time when WE DUB again in december.. will be another very special edition so ruuun come rally
