🎶 Day 1 – Off to a Harmonious Start! 🎶

The first day of competition has been a whirlwind of music, energy, and preparation! ✨
🗓 Individual Rehearsals kicked things off, with each participant fine-tuning their parts and getting ready to shine. The focus, the dedication – it’s all coming together beautifully!

🎭 Stage Rehearsals gave us a taste of what’s to come, with everyone stepping into the spotlight and bringing their best to the stage. We’re already feeling the excitement build!
🎟 Jury Briefings followed, with essential insights shared for the days ahead. Our participants are gearing up for what’s next, fine-tuning strategies, and getting a feel for how they’ll wow the judges.
🔄 Preparations for Tomorrow are already underway, and you can feel the anticipation for the next round of performances. Each day brings new challenges, and we’re ready to take them on!

Dear friends from the host country 🇮🇹,

We know that summer is a time when many embark on holidays and travels, often heading to the sunny side of Europe, bella Italia. Of course, some of you are also traveling during this period. That's why we are especially grateful for the Italian support, not only in the jury but also through our local partner choir and association.

The Musicanova Association pursues artistic aims and the promotion and spreading of music culture. The Association carries out valuable cultural and social activities in the city, particularly in its local area.

Musicanova Association aims to:
– SPREAD choral music through activities primarily directed at youth and children, such as setting up music and singing schools, and youth and children choirs.
– DEEPEN the study of choral music in all its aspects, including Gregorian chant, Renaissance, Baroque, Romantic, Contemporary, and folk music, both from Italy and abroad.
– COOPERATE with structures, organizations, institutions, and public and private schools for the implementation of musical and cultural initiatives and projects.
– ENHANCE lesser-known works of the past or early works of contemporary composers.

In addition to the Coro Musicanova , the Association includes the following choirs: Coro Femminile Eos, Coro Giovanile Iride, Coro Primo Levi di Roma, and Coro Enriques di Ostia.

To consolidate the Association’s work, great importance is given to public exhibitions, masterclasses, participation in festivals and competitions, and cultural exchanges with other choirs, both in Italy and abroad. The Association can organize choral festivals and meetings at national and international levels, either independently or in collaboration with other organizations, associations, or foundations. Particular attention is given to editorial and discographic projects. Musicanova Association aims to collaborate with other associations and artistic entities (theatre, dance, painting, cinema, etc.), especially if they pursue similar principles to the Association’s mission. Musicanova Association is highly dedicated to contributing musically to charitable initiatives.

Dear Singers from the Region of Celebes Sea, Java Sea, Banda Sea, Gulf of Thailand, Philippine Sea, and Beyond, 🌊🌏🎵

We know that you all worked hard when making plans to go abroad and have been hopeful about participating again or for the first time at Musica Eterna Roma 2024. If you didn't make it this time, we are convinced that one day we will meet again or get to know each other for the first time.

We are happier to introduce the choristers from Malaysia 🇲🇾!

The first group was formed in 2017 to participate in music festivals and events. Members of the choir come from the multi-cultured community around the Klang Valley. Members of the Chamber Choir will have to first be part of the main Community Choir of a non-profit organization formed to promote performing arts in Malaysia by the community, for the community. It maintains a strong policy that “Everyone Can Sing.” The tagline is “NO AUDITION & NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED.” The choir is non-auditioned, but members who join will have to commit to rehearsals and group activities.

➤ BAVE CHAMBER CHOIR, dir.: 🔹Casey Broadway

The second group was formed in June 2023. Members of this choir are adult Christians from various parishes around the Klang Valley. As a Christian-based ensemble, the choir focuses on liturgical sacred songs, hymns, and modern Christian music. It aims to unite all Christians through music and serve as a beacon of God’s redemption for the world. They first registered as a festival choir only and recognized, that participation in the category Senior Choirs could also be an option. Well done!! :=)
