This year, we had the incredible honor of supporting the European Patent Office in organizing the European Inventor Award once again, shining a spotlight on the brilliant minds that drive innovation forward. Since its launch in 2006, this prestigious award has celebrated inventors who transform their groundbreaking ideas into tangible progress, economic growth, and enhancements to our everyday lives.

For VOK DAMS, being part of this significant event is a long-standing tradition. Since 2007, our Munich team has supported the production of the award ceremony in various European cities, including Munich, Ljubljana, Prague, Budapest, Copenhagen, Amsterdam, Berlin, Lisbon, Venice, Paris, Madrid, Vienna and Valencia. In 2024, Malta joined the ranks of esteemed hosts for this celebrated event, which recognizes outstanding innovations.

The 2024 ceremony, streamed live from the stunning city of Valetta, Malta, captivated audiences as hosts Filomena Cautela and Jacob Beautemps guided us through the inspiring stories of the Tomorrow Shapers.

With the upcoming Young Inventors Prize set to launch its own dedicated ceremony in Iceland in 2025, the spirit of innovation continues to grow. We're already looking forward to next year!

Last week, we celebrated two decades of VOK DAMS in China with an incredible gathering in Shanghai! The event kicked off with a warm welcome dinner featuring delicious Sichuan cuisine, allowing our global team to immerse themselves in Chinese culture. Our experience featured an engaging office tour, dynamic strategic meetings, and fun team-building activities that sparked creativity and fostered collaboration. The evening featured a festive celebration with a catered dinner, live music, and karaoke, followed by an energetic afterparty that transformed our office into a vibrant dance floor! 🎉

As we reflect on our journey, we are proud of how VOK DAMS China has evolved into a key player in the Asian live marketing landscape since opening our Beijing office in 2004. What started as support for German corporations has grown into a diverse hub for innovative event solutions across various industries. Today, our team consists of dedicated professionals across locations in Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong and beyond, consistently delivering exceptional live marketing experiences. As we look forward to the future, we remain committed to bridging cultural differences and creating impactful events that resonate with both local and international clients.

Celebrating Sustainability at the Gigahub Opening 🌍

We are thrilled to have successfully orchestrated the opening ceremony for Quest One's new Gigahub in Hamburg, marking a significant step towards a more sustainable future! With a mission to eliminate one percent of global greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 through innovative electrolyzers, Quest One is truly paving the way for change.

Our team was proud to handle the concept and ex*****on of this landmark event, emphasizing sustainable event management throughout. The Gigahub not only represents a rebranding from H-Tec Systems but also showcases Quest One’s commitment to green hydrogen production.

The event attracted over 880 registrations, with guests including esteemed political figures such as Chancellor Olaf Scholz and Hamburg’s First Mayor Dr. Peter Tschentscher, alongside industry leaders like Robin von Plettenberg (CEO of Quest One), Dr. Uwe Lauber (CEO of MAN Energy Solutions) and Gunnar Kilian (Chairman of the Supervisory Board of MAN Energy Solutions and Member of the Executive Board of Volkswagen Group, Personnel and Truck & Bus). Their inspiring speeches highlighted Quest One's visionary goals and set the stage for a powerful "Push the Button" moment that resonated with all attendees.

𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 🌍

Over the last two days, we held an inspiring workshop focused on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and sustainability in events. Team members from various locations gathered at our headquarters in Wuppertal to deepen their knowledge and bring fresh insights back to their teams.

In an agile setting, we translated the UN's SDGs into concrete actions for VOK DAMS events. Sustainability expert Sabine Böhling provided invaluable insights into the SDGs, and we engaged in interactive discussions on how to apply these goals to create sustainable, future-oriented events.

We also received training on new client tools that enhance efficiency and sustainability, equipping us to deliver top-notch SDG event consulting. By educating our teams, we strengthen our agile sustainability mindset and aim for a positive impact in the industry. This is why we conduct regular workshops and training sessions:

A huge thank you to our wonderful sustainability expert, Sabine Böhling, for fostering our growth in alignment with her favorite SDG, SDG 4: Quality Education. We also extend our gratitude to our internal CSR and sustainability specialists, Claudia Krause and Stephanie Günther, for vigorously driving this vital topic forward at VOK DAMS.

From World Traveler to VOK DAMS Worldwide

Jan Filipzik recently joined our VOK DAMS family as Senior Manager Marketing & AI. Just over a year ago, he made a bold decision to leave everything behind and set off on a journey around the world. Traveling through Nepal, India, the USA, Cuba, and many other countries, he gained invaluable life experiences along the way.

After his journey, he became part of our team and dove into the universe of our global events – a world not too different from his previous adventures. 🚀

Because at VOK DAMS, we also have a passion for exploring new places and creating memorable experiences across the globe. With 18 offices worldwide, we love bringing events to life in any part of the world. 🌍

This event was nothing short of extraordinary, delivering on a grand scale with 50,000+ B2B guests, 1,200+ event and support staff, over 100 diverse venues, and an impressive 220+ masterclasses, stages, and 250+ thought-leading speakers.

The event's theme, Ready for Impact, resonated across every touchpoint, creating an engaging and immersive experience for attendees, and showcasing the future of digital transformation.

The journey began eight months ago with a shared vision and deep collaboration with a client that truly understands the transformative potential of live experiences. Together, we set out to create something unique, and the result exceeded all expectations.

We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Deutsche Telekom for trusting us with this ambitious project, to our valued partners and to our exceptional VOK DAMS team (unfortunately, not everyone is in the team photo) for the unwavering dedication and passion.
