Our (brief) Story
BoxTown is a unique and beautifully designed container village with flexible recycled furniture and equipment right in front of what is going to be Cloud City in 2020.
The overall idea of BoxTown is to promote food culture and sustainability in everyday life, with a special focus on the involvement of young people. One of the fundamental stories to be told in this market are the stories of local organic farmers of North Jutland and their food production methods as well as animal welfare.
BoxTown is an experience-based market with local, seasonal and organic vegetables, a street food market and an experimental food culture marketplace. Green associations and organizations, educational institutions and Aalborg's citizens are all invited to make part of this network by signing a membership of the association.
Boxtown collaborates with Food College, Tech College, UCN, AOF and many other educational institutions to bring up a platform of pop-up learning in relation to food and sustainability.
