Golden moments from the Lost City Marathon 2025! 🏃 ✨

Last February, epic runners from across the world gathered in fantastic Mexico to tackle one of our most challenging races - jungle style! 🌿

The Lost City Marathon takes runners past the ancient Maya city of Palenque, and into the surrounding jungle with sky high trees, rivers and mud trails. Local villagers cheer from the sidelines and make sure to get you across the finish line! 🙌

Looking back at an unforgettable race through the heart of the ancient Maya world! From the tricky and muddy jungle trails to the historic ruins of Palenque, runners took on the challenge and embraced the adventure of a lifetime.

🎥 Event Recap: Lost City Marathon 2025 🌿

What an unforgettable adventure! This year’s Lost City Marathon took runners deep into the heart of the Chiapas jungle. Through winding trails, local villages, and the awe-inspiring ancient ruins of Palenque🦜🏛️

With determination and spirit, a total of 119 runners 🏃 tackled the WET, tricky and challenging course and earned their place in history - along with the new, epic medal to prove it! 🏅

Once again, a huge congratulations to all the participants- YOU DID IT! And a heartfelt thank you to everyone involved 🤝 ✨

The jungle trails have been conquered, the ruins have witnessed incredible determination, and the Lost City Marathon has once again delivered an unforgettable adventure!🦜

A huge congratulations to all the runners who took on the challenge - you’ve earned every step of this epic journey! And a massive thank you to everyone who helped bring this race to life🙌

This year’s race was made even more special with the reveal of our epic new medal feature - a true symbol of the adventure, grit, and unforgettable experience of running through the heart of the jungle🏅

But the adventure doesn’t end at the finish line! Tonight, we gather for a celebration dinner, where we’ll rejoice in each other’s accomplishments, share race stories, and indulge in excellent food and drinks late into the evening 🎉

Today is the big day! YAY! 🎉 🏃‍♀️

After an early breakfast at the hotel, we will drive to the starting line at the breathtaking archaeological site of Palenque. 🌿 🦚

Ten minutes before each wave kicks off, participants will be granted entry into the Archeological Zone, where they can line up at the start. All distances start at 07.00. ⏰

Hola adventurers! 🏃There's only ONE day to go until the Lost City Marathon race day, and we are PUMPED. 🔥
..and how could we not, when these gems are is waiting at the finish line! ✨🥇

Today we have a big day ahead of us! We will be exploring the UNESCO accredited Maya ruins of Palenque, a thriving city between the years of 600 - 800 AD. And yes, it's also the Lost City Marathon starting line!

This architectural masterpiece went into ruins in 900AD, and has been dug under the jungle ever since. Only 10% of this magnificent city has been excavated but who knows what we might discover on the race route?! 👀

Later on we will gather for a pasta carb-loading feast 🍝, where the runners will meet the whole team and get all their questions answered! 🙋‍♀️

Tomorrow, runners from across the world will be arriving in Villahermosa, Mexico, where our cheerful tourguides take them on the 2 1/2 hour drive to Palenque—a legendary Maya archaeological site where the anticipated race takes place!
