Back home after two weeks in Romania, where builders awaited me with great anticipation 🤣

Tomorrow I am off to London to sell our car so no rest for the wicked. So yep, we are yet to prepare for Christmas and that’s ok.

I grew up with a week of food prepping for C Day. Cakes were baked, pig was slaughtered, windows were washed and still the tree was put up only on the 24th of December by kids. So I find all these Christmas decorations up in November a bit much.

So next week we shall hunt a tree, do some homemade decorations as ours are still in the storage so don’t want to buy extra stuff.

How about you? Where are you with Christmas preparations?

I wish you all a joyful time preparing for what ever celebrations you have now in December. Please say NO if things get too much. Take it easy. Prioritise. And if things go pear shaped, I hope you have a dog, cat or a human to hug your way through it all.

Look at us! All innocent and cute. I used to have a crush on my cousin (sitting next to me). I am so glad that I have these photos. You will never regret hiring a photographer or asking a friend to take some photos on your birthday. They don't need to be perfect, and they don't need to take a lot of time. Teens are also ok to ask, however, they might refuse :)

The best photographers are those who capture moments without disturbing the flow of the event. Or if you are in Northern Denmark, a slot will usually be planned for that too. Of course, it will be :) Bless the Danes and their planning skills.

I hope this helps.

A good photographer is one that captures that thing behind the external bits. The essence as Alexandra calls it.
She is the one behind my profile photos and the photos on my site. Her photo sessions are insightful experiences that are worth every minute.

Hiring a photographer for your event is one of the things you will not regret investing in. It will capture beautiful moments to cherish for ever.

Of course, it is all about being together and feeling good together. Sometimes, it is easier said than done. Families are complicated and chances are most of us have a member or two in the family that we don't get along with.

Also, most of us have the pressure to put everything aside for the celebration so as not to rattle the cage. I know this from personal experience.

So what to do?

👉As a host, you are in charge of your birthday celebration.
👉You decide who gets invited and who is not.
👉You need to know who you can handle on the day and who you can't.
👉If you invite many guests, it is easier as chances are that you will not need to socialise a lot with those who drive you up the wall. But if the celebration is intimate, choose carefully.
👉If you need extra support, ask for help and clarify your boundaries.
👉Do whatever it takes to get clarity on your needs, wishes and boundaries, so plan ahead.

Brene Brown: "Clear is kind. Unclear is unkind."

I wish you all the best birthdays without tension and stress. Everything from above can be applied for any event actually, so save it for later.

I hope this helps.

Approach every event in a playful way. Don't take it too seriously. We are all going to die and no one will remember the blooming. napkins.

🎭 I find most event organisers making a fuss over every little thing and overcomplicate. It gives us a sense of importance, our egos are stroked. We are important and we need to do our jobs but we are also little specks in this universe so a bit of humbleness will not harm. We so need to get over ourselves. And Dani Tonks can help us do that. Her workshops will make you laugh, sweat, blush and release your creative juices.

Her energy is infectious. Me and her we did a mini series of online events and had immense fun being silly and drop our serious masks. She is top notch.

🎭 You can find her online . She does festivals, retreats, online and face to face courses.

Stay playful.

As a host and event organiser I would advise you to use your entire self and employ those traits and skills you have developed along the way that might not be deemed as good or needed.

For example: I am a people please/control freak/perfectionist/fixer all these traits come from childhood trauma and I am not ashamed of using all of them when I host events. Of course I keep an eye on each so it doesn't create stress and take over but essentially I use them for the benefit of my work.

We all have trauma traits that can become skill to use in our hosting just be mindful of them and as I said don't let them overtake the whole thing.

🍃 Jamie Catto and his workshops teaches us how to embrace our inner demons and make them work for ourselves with kindness and playful acceptance. No point in amputating parts of ourselves, is better to love and embrace those parts and use them.

I love his playful, cheeky way of approaching spirituality and human understanding. He will rattle your cages with humour and total acceptance because we are all Insanely Gifted (his book title).

He was an absolute start to join The Monday Club twice at .

Housewarming party done. Over 50 people showed up with gifts, hugs, stories and curiosity. Some I knew but most I didn’t so I got to meet new people. Yay. My only regret is not taking more photos. Next time I need a photographer.

I am still basking in the afterglow of it all. So words escape me at the moment. All I can say: I love hosting parties.

We have 60 guests over tomorrow for our housewarming party. A combination of geeks, family members, old and new friends and new neighbours too. So lots of prepping hand to be done. All hands on deck situation. I have sore feet but I am also so excited as I missed hosting a big party. Also this time I don’t know most of the guests so it’s extra special 😁

Not everything can be understood through rational thinking, and when it comes to event planning, we tend to rely most of the time on that. And I think we are missing out on wisdom, intuition and on the spiritual that can elevate your event to something more than a carefully choreographed list of actions.

Shamanic practices are a fantastic safe way to tap into intuition and the mysterious beyond. Hosting an event can be a spiritual thing, and for those who are interested in learning more about the spirit and shamanic practices, I highly recommend getting in touch with Niamh from

She is fun, open-minded and gentle. She is also an art teacher, very patient and has a marvellous Irish sense of humour that will leave you in stitches. Her sessions at The Monday Club were a success.

Intimate tarot sessions with your friends and family add meaning, and flavour to your small gatherings. No matter what party I host in my home at one point tarot cards come out on the table.

It is worth having a tarot session for yourself anyways, no matter if you have an event or not. It brings insight, clarity and perspective. All good things to have in our lives.

🔥 Lucy Bullivant is our local witch and we had her over our house many times, not only for tarot, but also for reiki sessions for both us humans and dog. Yep, she helped Sushi with her limping leg more than the vets.

🔥 If you would like a private reading, I highly recommend her as she does online session too. Yep, it works even that way. Actually my first session with her was online as we were mid pandemic at that time. She is busy with another project, so her time is precious, but happy to receive enquiries from those who are keen and open minded.

You will find her here and here

In two days time I will be hosting our sixth Family Constellation with Debbie Beauchamp in Greenwich, Blackheath. Those who are curious about this type of work and want to dip their toes in it without the deep dive, can still come as Representatives.
All Issue Holders are sold out.

👉 As Representatives you get to participate in other people’s constellation without having to share your own issues at all. It is intense at times, must admit but the group is there to hold us all throughout the day.

We always feel a bit tired but also nourished by the deeper connections made during the day. Also I always feel so grateful that there are people out there ready to dive deeper into knowing themselves and trusting complete strangers. It’s a very humbling experience to host these workshops.

So yep, if you are curious, based in London and free on Saturday, join us. Will receive you with open arms.

We party as we grieve. These two go hand in hand, even if don't look like at the first glance.

I always say, show me a person how it grieves and I will tell how they party. If there is no aliveness in our events and gatherings it might be time to tap into your grief. Especially if the only way to relax and have fun is through alcohol, food or other substance abuse.

👉 Sarah and Tony hold love and grief ceremonies online, at festivals and at their lovely home in East London. They have been doing these for many years and weave many practices from different cultures and people.

I still remember when they came to The Monday Club in Blackheath and opened up our heart and sew them back with golden thread. It was one of the most profound experiences.

They also host online grief circles which work amazingly well. You wouldn't think so but they do. Because they create such a safe container for humans that is simply impossible not to be soft and open towards grief. They are simply the best.

I can't recommend them enough. Day of the dead it's coming, so perfect time to dive into grief.

Attire, design, decorations, the cake, the dress and the presents are important in a celebration ( I guess ) but not nearly as important as the true goal of your celebration.

I see how often we get side tracked by all these elements I mentioned above and spend a lot of energy, effort and money into them.

However we should ask ourselves these questions before hitting the order button on our screen:

1. Are these elements supporting the goal of the event?
2. How essential are they?
3. Which are non negotiable?
4. Where could you compromise to create ease?

I hope these questions bring some clarity. If you need extra support check my free gift for your birthday. It will bring clarity on the goal of your event and make it easier to choose actions that support it.

What has a shaman to do with event planning, I hear you ask?
Well, nothing. But it has everything to do with yourself and your event will represent you. Hence I really hope you do try out at least once in a life time a session with a true shaman, event or no event.

It will bring freshness into your life and a new understanding of your self. And that can only benefit the event you are planning ahead. Trust me nothing like some good old shamanic journeying to bring light and ease especially if you are feeling stuck and don't know where to start from, and tried other conventional things but haven't helped.

🔑 Autumn is the best time to go inwards anyway, so go for it. You will not regret this my friend.

I am still in the process of letting go of the good girl pattern I developed as a child, as it was first brought into my consciousness by Leandro a few years ago. His words and laughter still resonate with me to this day. He is one charming soul.

He used to be in London but now he is New Zealand. We used to do workshops together both face to face and online. He is also making shamanic drums, which are exquisite.

🔑 You can find him here:
www.shamanichealingnz.com

And I hope this post encourages you to find your own local shaman where ever you are. There is always one.

I love my grandma, even if in this photo she looks like she is ready to eat me alive :)And she loved me a lot.

Yes, birthday celebrations are all about love. Love for yourself as a host. Love for your guests. Allowing yourself to receive love from your guests. Yep, it's getting cheesier by the minute. You get me.

A good event is one that come from love, shares love and allows love to flow. As hosts we can't control how much love will be expressed or given or even how is showed. However as hosts we can be clear to our guests what we would love to have on the day. There is no shame in doing that and yes, you are not a spoiled prat by expressing it lovingly.

🎈My free gift for your birthday is from my heart too.

I always learn something new about myself when ever I host or organise events, no matter how often I do them. Last time I hosted ( last week actually ) our friends over to our house I was so nervous before they got here. We know each other for 20 years but we haven’t kept in touch the last few years so I didn’t know if we still like each other or the relationships are gone.

The fear of unknown and wanting it to be ok was high on that day. Changed three tops before the guests arrived. Anyway, I managed to let all that worry wash over me while prepping the food. I told my family that I am nervous. Well it was obvious but still was good to say it.

Once they arrived and we hugged all fell into place. What I am trying to say is that is normal to fill a bit on the edge when we host and organise events. Because we care and that’s a good sign.

Good hosts p*e theirs pants before an event. That’s my motto anyway.

This is my little secret I share with you, my darlings. Not many event planner would do this, but I am not many :)

is the one I use to research and find venues for my clients in London most often. They are brilliant and have it in other locations too, not just UK. The website is easy to manage, and most venues reply quickly. You can add in the search the budget, times and capacity. It is cleverly made. I like it.

They also have unusual, off the main track venues which I like.

All in one week 😅

Thank God for photographers and those who were not drunk enough to remember these precious moments :)

I have so many great memories of celebrations in my family. But I also remember those not so great moments. Unfortunately we can't choose what to remember. At least we can always learn something from them no matter if we liked them or not.

So if you had some unpleasant moments during a celebration, see if you can reflect on it later and learn something new about you, life or your guests.

Celebrations can reveal quite a lot about ourselves. As always be gentle with yourselves and ask for support if needed.

My gift for your birthday is the foundation for a solid good celebration that will be aligned with your values and bring lightness into your event planning, and hopefully create memorable moments.

All social gatherings should have something playful, even funerals. Playfulness can be the way is organised, the design, the activities, the food, or the experiences that guests have. It's up to the host to decide what part of the event is playful and which is not.

For me, the best are the interactive games, and the immersive experiences and for that Kevin is the best I have worked with. He creates bridges between generations with ease and bespoke experiences that embody the goal of the event in a unique, heart-lead approach.

Best to email him, but do follow him here He also leads singing choirs, barn and ceilidh dances. Kevin is multifaceted and has many hidden skills. He is based in UK but also travels around, so book him ahead of time, especially if you are looking for ideas for Christmas parties. Now it's the time.

Landed in 🇩🇰 last week. Settling into our new environment. It’s amazing how quickly we felt at home in our rented place which we saw once for five min and picked by instinct.

We have been blessed with the weather, nature, warm welcome from our Danish family and the master wind as you can see in the photos 🤣

Today we started the formalities that will open doors for me and our daughter to work, study, volunteer, get free Danish language classes for me, join clubs ( I can’t wait ) and feel like citizens of DK not tourists anymore.

It’s all so exciting even if is not entirely new to us as we lived here before for shorter times and visited a lot. The new thing is that now it’s for a long time.

I love Danes, I married one 😁 I love their efficient, straightforward attitude and good sense of humour. You have to have a good sense of humour to handle the weather here 🤣

I am also preparing my trip to London which is coming in three weeks time.
I will be hosting our sixth Family Constellation with Debbie Beauchamp in Greenwich.

All Issue Holder spaces are Sold Out.
Representative places still available.

I can’t wait to see my friends.

Life is so full at the moment, my senses are overwhelmed and hope I can contain it all, but if not, it’s also ok.

How are you all? How is your autumn/spring unfolding for you? Happy to hear from you. Please share in the comments. Curious to know.

Lots of love, from windy Denmark

I mean let's be honest sometimes celebrations can be overwhelming and intense, so I am all for allowing ourselves moments to recharge a bit.

Zoning out might not be the best way, but I am all in favour of hiding in the toilet for a breather, taking a short walk in the garden or around the block. Is best to tell someone you trust if you take a bit of time away from guests and let someone in charge while you are hiding with a glass of wine in the cupboard upstairs :)

Jokes aside, I am aware that many hosts can get overwhelmed and that is absolutely ok. And is absolutely ok to take some time to restore some inner peace if needed. No matter how much we prepare and plan thing can go pear shaped and create tension for host. So take care of yourselves.

I can't promise you that by following the steps outlined in my free gift for your birthday (link in bio) will protect you from overwhelming situations, but it will minimise them and prepare you to deal with them.

Saskia's flower essences is our go to when we feel overwhelmed, unsure and need a helping hand in releasing emotions but also focusing on the task at hand. Both me and my daughter use them regularly.

I have been using them for the last three years and offered them as birthday gifts for my friends and nieces.

🌸 What I love about Saskia, is that she does her own flower essences, combines them in unique blends and creates personal ones at a great value.

👉 I recommend using them especially if you are a bit nervous as a host, or you find it hard to focus. When we plan an event we have to juggle many balls and flower essences can help us concentrate and create, without being distracted. Her shop is full of different blends depending on the need, so check her out

You will thank me later.
We all need some flower power in our lives 🌼

Quick reminder!
2 Issue Holder spaces left for the Family Constellation I am hosting with Debbie Beauchamp on the 4th of November. London U.K.

I am on the road traveling to Copenhagen, to our new home and location. While driving through Poland I had plenty of time to reflect on my last 9 weeks with my family in Romania.

It’s been intense and not only because of renovation work. I had to put in practice one of the main lessons I learned through Family Constellation: we each choose our way of living our lives. We don’t need to follow our parents foot steps if that is not suiting us. They also don’t need to follow our way of living.

It’s easier said than done but I found myself repeating this in my head through out the summer.

If you need more info about Family Constellations there is a link in my bio.

I am kidding I was not kidnapped. I was actually a very much loved child and my birthdays were always celebrated to the max, hence I love birthdays.

Jokes aside, families are tough and come in all shapes and sizes. Just because we are blood related that doesn't mean we all get along or even like each other. So I understand that sometimes things are hard and it's not easy to celebrate with family members.

As always, I encourage the host ( you ) to take the decision on who to invite with care for her/his self first. As hosts we need to be really aware of how much energy we have to deal with relationships that are tense or unresolved issues especially on our birthday.

So choose wisely who is going to be invited to your birthday, especially if you have been raised to follow traditions around family and feel pressured to compromise. It's not easy. I know on my skin and soul. But is possible. Be kind on yourself and ask yourself is this good for me?

🎈If you feel a bit overwhelmed by it all, check my gift for your birthday which offers a solid foundation for your event which you can build on a memorable, joyful celebration just as you are.

Who I am...

I am a beautiful mongrel of a human. There is Hungarian, Romanian and a sprinkling of Croatian culture mushed up inside me. I left my home country when I was 22 years old and settled in London. I then married an academic Danish man, that taught me how to be punctual (almost) and that love is freedom. Our daughter is the only English citizen in the house. She is one of my most forgiving teachers, she is always challenging my ideas of how things should be.

I am curious about what it means to be human and I have a passion for sharing my experiences. Why do I like driving but hate when my husband drives? Is this a pattern that I learned many moons ago, is it just me being a control freak, and should I embrace that part of me? For me, having a puppy, learning something new about myself or just having a fire in the garden with shamanic drumming and a song, it is an event. Events are those experiences that make me grow, laugh and connect. It could be as simple as our weekly Tarot Nights on zoom with my friends or the bigger parties I love organising. Everything can be an event, even the most ordinary moments in our life, intense, authentic and rich.

My blog is about sharing my experiences with different Masters. I call them Masters because their knowledge is not only rooted in data, expertise or understanding; it is also coming from something within that is beyond all that. I cherish and nourish connections with each one of them. I don't get paid for writing about them. I only hope that by reading them you will get inspired. If you enjoy my blog, please share it with others.

I also write about local people and their shops. I know support for local businesses it's crucial more than ever. And if you are not a part of Greenwich London, look around and find your local shop and enjoy it.
