I was born on January 16,1984 to parents Phillip Joseph and Anne Marie Joseph nee Francis. I discovered that I had a passion for music as young boy growing up from always listening to songs my father played at home from groups like Aswad, Third World,Culture, Steel Pulse among others which inspired me to become a musician as my dream growing up. I developed a love for drums from the age of 12 look
ing at the drummers of bands from WCK,Effex,First Serinade and others of which I was amazingly fascinated by the tone of drums that I would hear listening while they performed which captured my interest for that particular instrument. With new found vigor and zest, I started off drumming on a home on a look alike drumset made with containers as I was determined to develop the art of playing drums. At my tender age full with enthusiasm playing on my home made container drumset with a small band called "FX", I knew that with continued practice and effort my skills in drumming would improve. I had my first debut on a small Acoustic drumset which was actually placed on sitting chairs in the year 1999 with a young group called "Juveniles Band" from Bath Estate at which point surprisingly my taste in music changed to the Rock and Roll and Alternative music as my understanding for the art grew. At the age of 16 I got the opportunity to perform with WCK for carnival which at that was the most popular band in the country and it was from that experience my musical career kicked off. My drumming inspiration further came from drummers like Pellam JnoBaptiste,Carter Beauford (DaveMatthewsBand),Joey Jordison (Slipknot) and David Silveria (Korn) all of whom I could gather different elements from to create my own style and originality. I continued on my journey playing for bands such as Impromptu Band,Partners in Kryme,Raw Rideem, Michelle Henderson,Gordon Henderson,Ophelia Marie,Asa Banton,Swinging stars,The All Star Kadance Band,Fanatik Triple Kay International. I joined Swinging Stars from 2003-2005 playing the unique drum patterns for calypso, soca and reggae after which I was heavily recruited by the management of Triple Kay Band and I've been a member of this band of brothers from 2006 to this day. To continue exploring the differently musical avenues to showcase my drumming talent, I embarked on a project to form a small group called "Blaklyte" which played at hotels, private events and backed up a few foreign artist such as Christopher Martin,D Major,Wayne Wonder,Erphan alves (Trinidad ),Denise Belfond (trinidad) and Chucky (Trinidad). I also played for Artists such as Romain Virgo,Timaya,Flippo(Soca),Sekon Star(Soca) and King Bubba(Soca). I've toured extensively across the region and the wider world on international stages from Canada,USA-New York/Texas/Miami/Atlanta/Boston/,England,Finland,Denmark, Russia,Belgium,St.Thomas,Guadeloupe,Martinique,St.Lucia,Barbados,Trinidad,St.Vincent,Antigua,St.Croix,Les Saints, Virgin Gorda,St.Marteen/St.Martin,St.Johns,Montserrat,Anguilla,St.Barths to Puerto Rico.
