Returning to the HKCR airwaves with another Deconstructed World, featuring a hard-hitting mix from Berlin-based Nemrac and myself. ⚔️
Tmw at 4:00 PM Cairo time.

Nemrac is the pseudonym of the electronic music producer Alessandro Canforini. Berlin-based deejay and live performer show his club-oriented approach in a visceral and incisive representation of darkness, skimming through Techno, Industrial, syncopated rhythms, and noir atmospheres. Since 2017, he's also been co-owner of the event and record label Syncretism.

Returning to the HKCR airwaves with another Deconstructed World featuring one of the artists I've been admiring lately, Only Now aka Kush Arora Tmw at 3:00 PM Cairo, EG / 6:00 AM Berkley, CA.

"Only Now aka Kush Arora lights up and sits down with us for a rare session of walking us through some of his favorite releases and the stories behind their influences on his music at the time he was listening to them. Jokes and vocal effects present. It’s a fun grab through his hard drive and how it’s affected his music."

Only Now is the vision of Kush Arora, based in Berkeley, CA. His sound is an unremitting emission of razor cut rhythms, primitive channeling, and ritualistic electronics. There is wild abandon in his approach; from seething Indian rhythms to cold fronts of ambience that highlight Arora’s ability to juggle disparate sonics. Active in the Bay Area since the late 90’s, Kush produces in scenes ranging from noise to dancehall as with his recent “Indian Unclassical” series. Arora's work has been featured on the BBC and in The Wire, The Quietus, The Guardian, FACT, Resident Advisor, and Bandcamp Daily. Over the past year, Kush has performed with DUMA, Andy Stott, and Kokoko!

Thrilled to host Athens-based producer/DJ ice_eyes for the 4th Deconstructed World on HKCR tmw at 3:00 PM Cairo time.

Athens based duo Ice_Eyes formed in 2012. They started producing leftfield electronic music forms and experimenting with modern club territories, techniques, and atmospheres. Since 2022, Ice_Eyes has become a solo project by Anastasios Tatsis.

Currently Ice_Eyes besides releasing music hosts a monthly show on Movement Radio Athens, while during the last years the Greek producer has recorded many shows on NTS, Threads Radio, Rinse France, Noods Radio, Ma3azef Radio (Tunis, Cairo), HKCR amongst others.

For the 3rd episode of Deconstructed World, I'm inviting one of my favorite producers/DJs B E N N on HKCR tmw at 3:00 PM Cairo time.

B E N N, Taipei-based producer/DJ, founder of avant-garde club label "OverMyBody" 跨 我 身 also the resident DJ of club FINAL.
With the influences of the hard drum in London, he attempted to reach out to the diverse dimensions of the production after moving back to Taipei in 2019, with natural sounds blending into different Asian vibes with broken beats. Over the past 3 years, B E N N has released several EPs and participated in many compilations from different labels, each showing an evolution of technique, from Synesthesia's tribal futurism to the organic natural pulses of Entheos, and most recently the sleek high definition crunch of "2041".
