M & J 🤍 24.05.24 💫 Huge congratulations to our Canadian couple Madi & Jules who got married on Friday! Throwback to L&S's wedding last summer at one of our favourite venues 💫 The ceremony took place at the balcony area, facing the sea - and it was officiated by the couples best friends. Great thing about this space is that you are by the sea but up on a hill - so you will never see the people at the beach, just a beautiful blue horizon 💫

HELLO NEW FRIENDS 🖐🏼💫 As I was scrolling through my feed, I realized that it's been just way too long since I showed up here, so I thought it could be a good idea to re-introduce myself. For those of you who don't know me, I'm Linda, the person behind Better Together Weddings Spain 💫 Big thanks for following me here on the gram 🤍🙏

A little bit about me...

⚡️ I'm originally from Sweden, moved to Barcelona 15 years ago, fell in love with the city immediately, and stayed for love (my husband is from here). So it's an absolute dream for me to be able to help couples, who just like me, fell in love with this beautiful corner of the world, to get married here.

⚡️I'm a mum of two, a brillant, beautiful, art loving eight-year-old girl, and an stubborn but super sweet and caring five-year-old boy.

⚡️ My hubby is my rock, we've been together for 15 years and married 7. There is literally no one who understands me like he does 🤍

⚡️ I used to be a team leader in a totally different sector, and before starting my business I worked in the travel industry planning business events for companies coming to Spain.

⚡️At high school my mentor thought that as an adult, I'd become either a politician, or a party planner, as I did pretty well at our debate roll plays in class, but I was also a driving force in the schools party comitteé (yes, our school had one of those lol). I guess she wasn't completely wrong!?

⚡️ My dream is to someday have a wedding venue of my own.. There, I said it, it was time to put it out there 😉💫

STYLING PROJECT ✨ I'm thrilled to finally share some photos from our styled shoot back in August. I am seriously so, so in love with these pictures and how the styling turned out. Real life couple Andrea & Borja did an amazing job, and I'm so grateful for all the top vendors who I worked with on this.

The venue we chose for this is a small, modern wine hotel located in the heart of the Penedés wine district. It was literally the perfect place for this shooting since we wanted something minimalistic but with interesting architecture.

CAROLINE & PATRIK - 21.08.2021. A little more than a week ago, I had the privilege to help the sweetest couple Caroline and Patrik with their intimate elopement here in Barcelona & Sitges. We started off with a emotional first look in the gothic quarters, and then transferred to Sitges where they said "I do" on some cliffs overlooking the sea 🌊 Huge congratulations again to both of you, I loved spending the day with you! 🤍

BUBBLES 🍾🥂 If there is one thing that can't be missing on your Spanish destination wedding then it's the Cava 🍾

Did you know that Catalonia is the home of 90% of all Cava producers in Spain? Unlike Champagne, Cava is not tied to just one specific region of the country🥂 🍇

The main differences between Cava and Champagne is the type of grapes that are being used and the minimum aging time.

Your wedding menu will for sure include cava both for the welcome cocktail as well as for the cake cutting! The Spanish love to pair Cava with sweet desserts ❣

I'm very lucky to have Penedès wine district just 30 min away ⚡ Want to do something different for your wedding? Why not get married at a Cava vineyard?! 🥂

SUMMER WEDDING IN SPAIN 🇪🇸❣ Here in Barcelona the weather is very hot and humid during the summer months. Temperatures are usually pending between 28-35 °C (82-95°F), and the humidity can reach to 70%, this can make the temperatures feel warmer than it actually is.

The hottest month's are July and August, so if you are planning to get married during this time it could be wise to plan for ceremony where there is shade, and adjust the wedding dress code accordingly ❣

Another important factor is the timing of the wedding - I highly recommend that you plan the wedding in the late afternoon or evening, since the heat still can will be suffocating between 12:00-17:00 ❣

Can you plan a destination wedding or an elopement during a pandemic? The answers is YES! 2020 taught us that almost anything can be done with a video call. I will be more happy to visit venues in my area, film them for you or have a video call with you on site 😊

🌿🌿 Today's little eco tips for your wedding here in Spain: when choosing the venue, try to opt for a venue where you can have both the ceremony, reception and party. There are plenty of these type of venues here. That way you won’t need to travel in-between different places. If you want a religious blessing, there are priests that will perform religious blessings in other places and not necessarily in a church. Also think about the venue itself, does it offer a lot of greenery or will a lot of flowers be necessary? If the venue itself is already beautiful on its own, you won’t need that much flowers. If the venue has some land around it, you could ask the owners if you can use greenery from the the surrounding area to decorate 🌿

Hi friends!👋 Christmas is just around the corner, and I wanted to give you some inspiration for your wedding planning if you are starting to look into that. Many of you will be opting for smaller weddings, so this venue will be absolutely perfect for that. Casa Felix is a rustic, Catalan manor house with origins from the 13th century is really a gem. Located between vineyards and nature in the Garraf Natural Park and on a short drive from Sitges and the beaches

🍋 💛 Pantone color(s) of the year 2021 are here, this time it was two colors; a vibrant yellow called 13-0647 Illuminating, and a gray called 17-5104 Ultimate Gray. I have the feeling that yellow is that type of color that you either love or hate, or what do you think? Pantone themselves chose this specific yellow because the world needs something uplifting and that brings us hope and positivity in these strange days ✨ Of course I had to play around and create a mood board. Not at all for the Christmas season, but for spring!
